Probably my JRPG of the year for 2023. The battle mechanics, boss fights and in-game music are what JRPG fans look for in a S-class JRPG. Solid game and will be ecstatic to purchase Octopath 3 in the future since the game seems to have sold really well.

So far better than the OT 1- Reminds me of classic FF series for SNES.

A great game, and even better sequel, and getting it on sale sealed the deal.

This was my first turn based rpg and now I'm addicted! I was hesitant because I mostly play action games, but the art style drew me in and I am so happy for giving this game a try. There are 8 characters, and regardless of which one you start with, the story grips you from the beginning. The voice acting is great and really immerses you in the story (I played the game with Japanese voice acting.) And the music is phenomenal!! It always fits the setting and makes the fights feel truly epic! The combat is easy to learn (even if you are new to turn based combat like me), but it is immensely deep. When the combat gets harder, you will need to learn to use items, buffs, and debuffs instead of just attacks (like I did lol). There are many videos on youtube that can help you learn how to fully utilize the combat system and build a perfect team for your playstyle. This game is AMAZING! Don't let the art style fool you. This game is huge! I put over 100 hours in to my playthrough and I'm looking forward to my second. Do not sleep in this game!

An amazing and beautiful JRPG. With a classic feel yet new innovations. The characters have engaging stories and the soundtrack is definitely the best of 2023.

I’m playing this game in the playstation portal, great game.

The cast is a colorful and truly likable bunch of characters, each one based on a specific class, like Cleric, Warrior, Scholar, Merchant and so on. All characters have their own unique backstory and storyline in the game. Castti is an apothecary who struggles to find out her past after suffering from amnesia, Throne is a remorseful thief who want to leave her shady past and life behind, Hikari a noble and kind warrior who wants to restore peace to his homeland, Osvald a scholar who is framed for the murder of his wife and child, and so on.

Love the game and the delivery was quick so I didn’t have to wait long to play.

I am looking forward to playing this game but right now its on the backlog with thousands of other games. It looks great in my collection.
