Q: What is the height of the arm rests? Is the attachment of them optional?
A: When the chair is at its lowest setting, the top surfaces of the armrests are approximately 25" from the floor. At the highest setting, approximately 28" from the floor. Their height is not adjustable, but they can be rotated upward and backward so they are parallel with the back of the chair and out of the way. I need this feature so I can rest a guitar on my lap during recording sessions, then I rotate them forward when I'm writing so I can rest my elbows.

Excellently Crafted and Breathable!
Excellently crafted! Simple and straight forward directions to assemble! Breathable mesh back and seat helps with body temperature regulation AND it is very comfortable! No extra cushion needed!!! My back and hips are no longer in pain from long computer sessions! Enjoy the option of using the pneumatic up and down lever = smooth adjustments! Bonus: the arms flip up so you can slide the chair closer to the desk for cleaning or whatever! Definitely a 5 Star purchase. Thank you, Office Star Products and Best Buy.

Granny’s chair
Love this chair. Shipped and arrived in good shape. Easy to put together. Completed in 20 minutes. Comfortable and can use arms or lift each one up to get out of the way. I would definitely purchase again.

Black Mesh Seat and Back office Chair
The Office Star Products - Mesh Chair - Black is well constructed and very comfortable. The lumbar support is very good but it is not adjustable. There is no height adjustment for the armrest. The seat is comfortable and plenty wide enough for most people. I have used Herman Miller Aeron chairs for years and this is a close quality and comfort chair that I use in my home office.
