About this product

2017 , the 10th album from Texas alt-country stalwarts Old 97's. Graveyard Whistling was recorded in the same Tornillo TX studio as their 1996 debut, Too Far To Care. The band still contains it's original 4 members - Rhett Miller, Ken Bethea, Murry Hammond & Philip Peeples. While there are collaborators like Brandi Carlise and Butch Walker, there aren't more than a handful of bands in history who can claim to have an intact, unchanged line-up in almost 25 years together. Graveyard Whistling is the follow-up to their 2014 album Most Messed Up. The band is recognized as pioneers of the alt-country movement during the mid to late 1990s along with contemporaries such as Uncle Tupelo, Drive-By Truckers, Whiskeytown, The Jayhawks, and The Bottle Rockets. Album Tracks 1. I Don't Wanna Die in This Town 2. Bad Luck Charm 3. All Who Wander 4. Jesus Loves You 5. Good with God [Feat. Brandi Carlile] 6. She Hates Everybody 7. Irish Whiskey Pretty Girls 8. Nobody 9. Drinkin' Song 10. Turns Out I'm Trouble 11. Those Were the Days

2020 . Old 97's return with Twelfth, their aptly titled 12th studio album, recorded this spring in Nashville, Tennessee between a tornado and a pandemic. 2016's Graveyard Whistling took the 97's to new heights lead by the single InchGood With GodInch - a bona-fide hit at non-commercial radio. Twelfth's lead single InchTurn Off The TVInch might be the unintentional anthem of 2020, celebrating the occasional and necessary need to turn off the TV set and tune out the outside world. Album Tracks 1. The Dropouts 2. This House Got Ghosts 3. Turn Off the TV 4. I Like You Better 5. Happy Hour 6. Belmont Hotel 7. Confessional Boxing 8. Diamonds on Neptune 9. Our Year 10. Bottle Rocket Baby 11. Absence (What We've Got) 12. Why Don't We Ever Say We're Sorry

The 13th studio album from Old 97's arose from what vocalist/guitarist Rhett Miller refers to as a Inchde-evolutionInch. InchAs much as I want us to calm down and grow up, the songs that felt right for this record were mostly big and loud and brutal and dirty.Inch Produced by Tucker Martine and featuring appearances from Peter Buck (R.E.M.) and Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5) -American Primitive is gloriously rowdy, revealing a band more attuned than ever to the raw, reckless energy of timeless rock-and-roll. Album Tracks 1. Falling Down 2. Somebody 3. American Primitive 4. Where the Road Goes 5. Honeypie 6. By the End of the Night 7. Masterpiece 8. Incantation 9. Magic 10. Western Stars 11. Chased the Setting Sun 12. This World 13. Estuviera Cayendo
