Los Retros - Odisea (COBALT BLUE VINYL) - VINYL LP

Cobalt Blue Vinyl. Odisea, Los Retros' highly anticipated debut album, aims to emulate the iconic City Pop sound of the 1980s. A more articulate musical endeavour from the young singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Tapia first captured hearts with the lo-fi magic of InchSomeone To Spend Time WithInch, a track he recorded at the age of 17 on a humble four-track in his parents' living room. Now 25, the Oxnard native has stepped into an entirely new season of life.Through it all, he's kept the same DIY spirit, still writing and recording every note himself, only now in a home studio of his own.

Stan Getz - Getz / Gilberto - VINYL LP
5.0(5)

Limited vinyl LP pressing of this classic 1964 album. One of the biggest-selling jazz albums of all time, not to mention bossa nova's finest moment, Getz/Gilberto trumped jazz samba by bringing two of bossa nova's greatest innovators - guitarist/singer João Gilberto and composer/pianist Antonio Carlos Jobim - to New York to record with Stan Getz. The results were magic. It's helped fuel the bossa nova craze in the United States and internationally, becoming the first Grammy Award-winning album from non-American artists. It brought together Stan Getz, who had already performed the genre on his LP Jazz Samba, João Gilberto (one of the creators of the style), and Jobim, a celebrated Brazilian composer (and also one of the main creators of the genre), who wrote most of the songs in the album. It became one of the best-selling jazz albums of all time, and turned Astrud Gilberto, who sang on the tracks InchThe Girl from IpanemaInch and InchCorcovadoInch, into an internationally celebrated musician.
