Olivier Barriere - La Coviabilite socio-ecologique, reponses aux urgences bioclimatiques - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Biodiversity a human necessity? Dominique Bourg, environmental philosopher, Luc Abbadie, researcher on interactions between biodiversity, biogeochemical cycles and ecosystem functioning, Denis Couvet, President of the Fondation Fondation pour la Recherche sur la Biodiversité (Foundation for Research into Biodiversity). Combining their respective specialties, they offer us a presentation on the question of living organisms and their intrinsic diversity. Based on historical aspects and our knowledge of biodiversity today, they take stock of the foreseeable evolution of life on Earth over the coming decades, and point out the mismatch between the natural adaptation time of ecosystems and the speed of destruction of which humanity is capable. These two ecologists provide the scientific neutrality needed to fully understand the causes of biodiversity degradation. Audiobook in French. Claude COLOMBINI FRÉMEAUX and Patrick FRÉMEAUX

Olivier Norek - Surtensions [COMPACT DISCS] 3 Pack date 04/20/2018

Why did Socrates, on the eve of his death, decide to start playing music? Why is beautiful music often sad? Why is this sadness also a consolation? Why do we always hope that music is able to make us better if we listen to it? And above all, why does music have so much power over us, why is it able to upset us from top to bottom while, literally, it means nothing and has nothing to say? Based on the analysis of Jankelevitch, Hegel and Alain, we will try to answer these questions, and put words to the elementary and mysterious power of music. Ollivier Pourriol, an associate of philosophy and a cinema specialist, likes to mix the two. From scenes of illustrious films, he explains the concepts of philosophy, which take shape in reality.
