Olympus - OM SYSTEM TG-7 4K Video 12 Megapixel Waterproof Digital Camera - Red

I really like this camera & I am super happy with the purchase. I love the ability to choose settings and have more control over my photography.

I remember times when phone took so bad photos, that point-and-shoot camera was essential... times have changed and phones can take pictures on par with expensive SLR... yet, there is times when I miss having a good handy camera hanging on my wrist, to just point, aim and press the trigger with my finger, without doing finger yoga to tap the screen or accidentally opening features on the trigger on my iphone (or sending phone bye, bye due to poor grip)... after some research and very long debate with myself if $500+ is worth spending on a point-and-shoot (I spent not a very much more on a good mirror SLR 10 years ago), I decided to pull the trigger... AND it is AWESOME!!! pics are crisp, vibrant and for pictures on a road trip, it is excellent. I got the red one, which is a bonus for me, as it goes with my theme of red items (definitely it matches my Mazda!!!). Took it on a trip to Great Smoky and looking at pictures with my SLR (yes, that 10yo), iphone and my TG-7, Olympus wins... Did not try macro and underwater yet, but already bought some accessories. You will definitely need lens cover and extra battery, get some solid SD card as well, to keep things going; also my SLR has expensive SD in it and it pays off with card holding up with camera as well (it is original to it). The only downside is processing times for a panoramas, camera needs a moment. Beyond above, it was an excellent choice and this camera will be a long time companion for me. The fact it is IP rated, only adds value, making sure no dirt and dust gets in to damage the internals.

I love this camera. I have owned one before. I see there still is not good way to hook it up for action. I think this cam is better than Go pro except go pro can be out of your way. This is the best and I’m happy with color too. I think Yellow is still best for underwater or brighter colors to find in case you drop it under there.

My old underwater camera quit working (it was pretty old) and I used to own the Olympus camera until it went out of stock a few years ago. I was pleasantly surprised that they had it again! It is a great travel camera and does great underwater photography. Its not branded as Olympus anymore but it is still the same reliable camera.

Quality product overall. Easy to operate and versatile. Not sure why it doesn’t come with a lens cap.
