Too Much is not enough is a completely different approach to Jimmy Reed. The players are so good that the music speaks for itself. The most important reason to these songs they are the last recordings I did with my good friend, Gary Primich. I had planned to do a Jimmy Reed tribute for more than 20 years. My original idea was to an Omar and the Howlers record which featured guest artists playing on some of the tracks. Too Much is not enough is the result of this vision. Omar Kent Dykes wrote when this album was originally released in 2012. It is now reissued as the inaugural title on the Omar Classics Series on Omar's Big Guitar Music tag. This album also features Gary Clark, Jr. On several tracks.

Omar Kent Dykes gathered a group of his best friends to a cover album of their favorite tracks by some of their favorite blues greats. Many of the same talented artists appeared with Omar on his previous , on the Jimmy Reed Highway. Gathering to record Big Town Playboy are guests Jimmie Vaughan, James Cotton, Lazy Lester, Gary Clark, Jr.., Lou Ann Barton, Derek O'Brien, Wes Starr, and Ronnie James. This includes songs written by Eddie Taylor, Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, and Jimmy McCracklin. Smoking guitar by Jimmie Vaughan and Omar combined with blazing harmonica by James Cotton and Lazy Lester make this one of Omar's most memorable projects. Gary Clark, Jr.. played guitar and harmonica on King Bee, and Lou Ann Barton sang duets with Omar on Think and Close Together.
