A: On the box, it says it has a 60-mile range, however, you can't prove that by me. No sign that the range was more than 60 inches.
A: It is best not to obstruct antennas with components (like a TV) or behind or with-in any kind of metal (panel door, mass of wires?). These will both interfere with signal reaching the antenna. The unit is USB powered. You can either plug it into a USB port on the TV or use a USB power adaptor.
