About this product
Q What happens when you combine three women bassist singers from 70s/80s Swiss bands? A a trio-full of sinuous music which reclaims the minimalist sound of the post-punk that they first created themselves. In September 2018, after decades of friendship, three women decided to finally combine forces for a show of strength. The equation seems straightforward, yet it's very powerful Klaudia Schifferle (Kleenex/Liliput) + Madlaina Peer (Noknows) + Sara Schaer (TNT, Souldawn) = ONETWOTHREE. They sport an impressive heritage but they're also creating something that's unique and proudly their own - spooky, danceable, subtle, compelling music for a post-pandemic world.ONETWOTHREE's first album doesn't have a name but that's just as it should be for a band that's deceptively simple, mysterious and yet somehow familiar. Three women bassists/singers from classic Swiss post-punk bands dot their insistent, minimal music with drum patters, synths, chants, commands and joyous wordplay with their sometimes cynical, sometimes sensual take on leisure and consumer culture. The group is appropriately DIY, self-contained and self-produced - their debut was written and played almost entirely by themselves. ONETWOTHREE's songs blend into a whole, creating a momentum and their own kinetic, strange reality which fun-house mirrors our own.Perfect IllusionGive PawJamaisBuy BuyOh BoySuddenAdventureCloudsFakeBubbleThings Album Tracks 1. Following the of Franz Reizenstein's Cello Concerto, it is now our pleasure to present to you his Piano Concerto No. 2. Like Berthold Goldschmidt, Reizenstein fled from Berlin to England in 1934, before the immigration laws had been tightened. Generally speaking, Hindemith's influence dominates in Reizenstein, though his effusive energy producing highly spirited and less sober results clearly distinguishes him from British and American composers like Rawsthorne and Berkeley. Reizenstein himself performed the solo part at the premiere of his Piano Concerto by the BBC Orchestra under Rudolf Schwarz in 1961. What stands out in this concerto is it's exuberant virtuosity, which produces brilliant interplay between the soloist and the orchestra. Reizenstein's Serenade in F numbers among the works adhering more closely to the InchNew ObjectivityInch emanating from Germany than to colorful impressionism. The last work heard here is the Cyrano de Bergerac concert overture - a powerful, energetic work and the symphonic portrait of an extremely popular stage figure working with a surprisingly modest orchestral ensemble. Here the composer in no way overlooks Cyrano's more romantic moments. Album Tracks 1. Konzert FÜR Klavier Und Orchester NR. 2 F-Dur Op. 37 2. Serenade F-Dur Op. 29A 3. Cyrano de Bergerac Op. 28 (Konzertouvertüre)
