Orgone - Connection - VINYL LP

Connection is the new ten song LP from Los Angeles powerhouse Orgone featuring collaborations with Cyril Neville, Kelly Finnigan, Pimps of Joytime, and more. The album is the inaugural on 3 Palm Records, distributed by Colemine Records and Secretly Distribution. A spiritual follow up to fan favorite Bacano, Connection is gritty, lean, and tight soul and funk at it's best. It explores the invisible threads that bind us all, spiritually, emotionally, and artistically. Much like the collage that adorns the cover, this hard hitting collection of songs illuminates the essence of Orgone a musical pastiche of different vocalists, heavy riffs, vintage production, and a core rhythm section that never disappoints. The synergy created in these songs demonstrates that the whole is truly greater than the sum of all the individual parts and players. This is the tenth studio album from Orgone (they've previously released albums with Ubiquity, Sanachie, and Colemine Records). Other career highlights include heavy touring with the likes of Al Green, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, and Galactic; fest appearances at Bonnaroo, High Sierra, Jam Cruise; placements on ABC's Modern Family, film, and commercials; serving as the backing band for Grammy winning hits like Cee Lo's InchFool For YouInch and songs from Alicia Keys, Jazmine Sullivan and more. Album Tracks 1. The Vice Yard 2. Junk Man 3. Love Will See Us Through 4. The Truth 5. This One Time 6. Delightful 7. Jawbone 8. Party People 9. This Space 10. The Way

Moonshadows, named for a glossy beachfront Malibu bar where members of the Orgone crew DJed Saturday night sets, is the band's homage to yacht rock, sweater funk, and late night cruises on the Pacific Coast Highway. The genre-bending full-length album evokes neon and moonlight shimmering on ocean waves, undulating rhythms, martinis, and luxury convertibles. There's nothing lightweight about this collection, however. All the hallmark elements of Orgoneproduction-gritty, deep, authentic sounds and heavy beats-permeate this ten-song LP. For this album, Orgone pulled from it's deep bench of talent to feature vocal performances and co-writing by Adryon de León, Woolfy, Masauko Chipembere, Terin Ector, Jamie Allensworth, and more. Moonshadows is a heady mix of rich vocals, classic drum tones, and late-70s vibes best served chilled in the late-night hours and made to keep you grooving through your second wind and into the hazy sunrise. Album Tracks 1. Calling on You 2. Concentration 3. Loveback 4. Get with It 5. Don't Stop 6. Hit & Run 7. Dreamer 8. Show Me 9. High and Low 10. Lost U

Orgone is one of the most exciting bands in the new generation of funk bands; led by the powerhouse vocals of Adryon de Leon, Orgone recalls such legendary groups as Rufus and Sly & The Family Stone at their best! The band has backed Alicia Keys on her As I Am album and Cee Lo Green on his Grammy-winning track Fool for You. Beyond The Sun is the most complete fulfillment of Orgone s full spectrum of sound, ranging from the in the pocket funk of Don't Push Your Luck to the evocative balladry of No Pain to the clubby-jam of the title track and the scorching instrumental workouts on Meat Machine and Sabi. A highlight is a hot version of Rufus I m A Woman (I m A Backbone). Album Tracks 1. Don't Push Your Luck 2. Losin' You 3. No Pain 4. Take You Higher 5. Picture on the Wall 6.
