Orrick,Chris & Lasso - I Read That I Was Dead - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Volbeat is a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen. They play a fusion of rock and roll, heavy metal, punk and rockabilly. THey are inspired by classic rock and roll artists such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, as well as modern hard rock, groove metal, alternative metal and hardcore groups. Their 2010 BEYOND HELL/ABOVE HEAVEN was subject to widespread international critical acclaim, receiving double platinum status in Denmark, platinum in Finland and Germany, and gold in Sweden and Austria. Volbeat's fifth album entitled OUTLAW GENTLEMEN & SHADY LADIES is due to be released worldwide on April 9th.

A remarkable sense of brevity. This is the first thing that strikes when discovering the new material of the (now) quintet the desire to go straight to the point. With shorter songs, less triturated lyrics, much more pop melodies, almost as pop as the ones we discovered on the amazing microalbum Air Max that the band had offered in the spring of 2017, one year after they had thrown away the daring and complex Gesamtkunstwerk.Less progressive and left-field than it's predecessor, Dead Obies' third album is no less diverse, torn between the pop refrain and leaping rhythm of the first single Run Away and the low-frequency scraping of the corrosive André. And in between these two extremes, a few trapy flights of fancy, Royautés, F1 and 24.

In search of a new and improved sound to match the music of Constructed, the band hooked up with good friend Peter Wichers (lead guitar & songwriter of SOILWORK) to enter Queenstreet studio and make their second album InchVIOLADEADInch. Blending todays more melodic touch of metal and old school death, the result has come out amazing!!
