Close It Quietly is a continual reframing of the known. It's like giving yourself a haircut or rearranging your room. You know your hair. You know your room. Here's the same hair, the same room, seen again as something new. Close It Quietly takes the trademark Frankie Cosmos micro-universe and upends it, spilling outwards into a swirl of referentiality that's a marked departure from earlier releases, imagining and reimagining motifs and sounds throughout the album. The band's fourth studio is a manifestation of their collaborative spirit Greta Kline and longtime bandmates Lauren Martin (synth), Luke Pyenson (drums), and Alex Bailey (bass) luxuriated in studio time with Gabe Wax, who engineered and co-produced the record with the band. Recording close to home- at Brooklyn's Figure 8 Studios- grounded the band, and their process was enriched by working closely with Wax, whose intuition and attention to detail made the familiar unfamiliar and allowed the band to reshape their own contexts.

Other Lives, which includes Josh Onstott and Jonathon Mooney, remain focused on the search for audible clarity their next expression, their next melody, their next rhythm. Rituals, the band's third and 2015 full-length album, is a pure encapsulation of the trio's relentless drive for precision. Ambient soundscapes (InchNew FogInch) buttress against prog-rock stomp (Inch2 PyramidsInch) lending the album the experience of embarking on a choose-your-own-adventure novel. 2020 . Other Lives mark their return their long-awaited fourth album For Their Love. The record follows 2015's Rituals and finds frontman Jesse Tabish displaying a more candid narrative both in general and on a more personal level. Originally hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Other Lives emerged in 2011 with their debut Tamer Animals, much celebrated both across Europe and the US with an invitation from Radiohead to open their North American tour soon followed.
