The OtterBox Defender Series Pro Case for the Apple iPad (A16) offers robust protection tailored for users seeking durability and functionality. With a 4.3 out of 5-star rating from over 200 Best Buy reviewers, it stands out as a reliable choice for safeguarding your device. Protection & Durability Designed to withstand drops and impacts, the Defender Series Pro features a multi-layer construction that includes a soft inner slipcover, a hard outer shell, and a built-in stand. Users frequently commend its protective capabilities, noting that it offers peace of mind, especially for families with children or those who use their iPads in active environments. One reviewer mentioned, "This is a very sturdy case… the protection this case gives is top notch." Best Buy Design & Build The case's design is both rugged and functional. It includes a built-in stand that allows for hands-free viewing, which many users find convenient. However, some reviewers have pointed out that the stand can be stiff and challenging to adjust. Additionally, while the case is bulkier than slimmer alternatives, it is praised for its solid build quality. Best Buy Considerations Weight & Bulk: The Defender Series Pro is heavier and bulkier than many other cases, which might be a drawback for users seeking a lightweight option. Screen Protection: Unlike its predecessor, the Defender Series Pro does not include a built-in screen protector. OtterBox has redesigned this series to provide the same level of drop protection without the integrated screen cover. Users are encouraged to use separate screen protectors like Alpha Glass or Amplify for enhanced protection. Stand Durability: Some users have reported issues with the stand mechanism, including difficulty in adjusting and occasional breakage. While OtterBox offers a 7-year warranty, some customers have expressed concerns about the stand's longevity. Best Buy Value Priced at $89.95, the Defender Series Pro is on the higher end of the market. While many users find the investment worthwhile for the protection it offers, others feel the cost is steep, especially considering the absence of a built-in screen protector. Best Buy The OtterBox Defender Series Pro Case for the iPad (A16) is ideal for users prioritizing rugged protection and durability. Its sturdy construction and functional design make it a reliable choice for those who need a case that can withstand daily wear and tear. However, potential buyers should consider the additional cost of a separate screen protector and be aware of the case's bulkier profile.

Sturdy cover, seems to do the job protecting the iPad. Really like that the cover can be used as a stand. Also loved the color. It can be challenging installing but is doable.

Great cover but a bit bulky and heavy. It offers excellent protection but at a steep price! Also includes a cover with a built in stand. Cover is pretty useless and hard to adjust when open.

Only reason I gave it a 2 out of 5 stars is because it fits the iPad. Otherwise, it’s bulky, heavy, the flip out stand gets stuck and with in a month broke. The stylus holder is great but what’s the point when it doesn’t charge. I would not recommend it.

I really like the Otterbox I purchased for my new iPad. It’s very comfortable when holding my iPad and is great for setting it up on a desk or table to watch. Hopefully I won’t ever have to learn how well it protects my iPad if I were to drop it. Lol But I feel like if I did drop my tablet it would be better protected by the Otterbox than several of the other covers I looked at.

This is a very strong product in terms of I pad protection. Fits perfectly and much more secure than than the flimsy old case on my last I pad.

Love it. I am very active on my I pad daily. This case has provided me with the protection of a very busy person I am. Sure don’t mean to drop it bump it but happens daily. It takes a continuous beating with no lost or downtime.

I love the case it protects my I pad and it looks good as well

It is a bit pricey for a case but the quality is definitely worth it in my opinion. I like that it has the stand option, and use it all the time! I also like that the stand part has a holder for the Apple Pencil.

Excellent tablet easy to use. I highly recommend. It’s decent size. The screen is big, which is nice to see easier. It runs super fast and was super easy to set up. The picture in and the sound quality are very good. The battery life is excellent. Well worth my money .

Will see how it fares versus the little one over time. I do like the included stand on the hard plastic “cover”. Which I might add was a bit misleading when purchased, as it was described as a screen protector, just not one you can have in place while using the tablet. Which led to my last minute purchase of a subpar product that broke during installation.

Great case for i pad and very handy stand with it!

Love how well it protects your device but it also looks sleek, not cheap & bulky looking.

Great case, very durable, and you can tell its quality!!!

Great case, super durable and made with quality!!!

The product is extremely sturdy and very well produced. I enjoy it.

I love how this outter box has the clip on the back for watching tv. Nice and firm. Kinda pricey to be honest but it’s worth it to me. I won’t have to buy another case unless I want one that covers the face specifically. Other than that I love it.

This is a very sturdy case… the protection this case give is top notch.. i let my kids play with it with no worries… very good product for a great price

The case broke near the wake/sleep top button. Still waiting for a warranty replacement. It’s been 14 days since the warranty claim was submitted and no updates from Otterbox.

This is the trusted brand ever for me, and wit lifetime warranty!
