A: Yes and no. I was misled by the description as well. There is a case that encapsulates the entire iPad, then there is another plastic piece that would be best described as a holder, much like your phone would clip into the belt holder. This second piece is what they are describing as the screen protector, so yes while in place it protects the screen, but no you can’t use the iPad while it is in place.
A: No. There is no screen shield the screen seems sturdier enough. Just be careful when you use the iPad
