About this product
2017 from this band led by the live basist/vocalist of Polish MGLA. Over the Voids was founded on one man's vision of a mid-nineties black metal revival. However, this work of art far transcends simple nostalgia or tributes paid to ages past; while many bands are content with leading an existence as living homages to other people's innovations, this solo project has an entirely different intensity to it's artistic fire. The musical and lyrical aspects along with their aesthetic representation are forged in synergy to ponder the riddles of mortality. Commanding the centre of attention is the distinctly mixed twin-guitars, acting much like a conductor's baton as they dictate where to bring the music and it's accompanying mood. The melodies are the focal point, merging the icy darkness of Transylvanian Hunger with the dreamy woodland landscapes of Bergtatt. Despite the catchy melodies, Over the Voids is more the type of music to which one would drift on some flight of the mind, rather than bang one's head. For fans of MGLA, Kriegsmaschine, early Ulver, early Satyricon, and early Emperor. Mixed and mastered by M. of MGLA. Album Tracks 1. Battle of Heaven 2. Ghosts Lay Eggs 3. Prophet of the Winter 4. Never Again Will They Hunger

Over the Voids is back. The long-awaited sophomore album, InchHADALInch, sports a masterful balance between atmosphere and aggression. Both melody and dissonance have their place here, and the forceful arrangements bristle with harsh energy. Interspersed with the frantic aural attacks are bleak passages, at times adorned with chanted clear vocals and haunting acoustic guitars. With InchHADALInch, main visionaries The Fall expands Over the Voids' austere universe into new, yet oddly familiar, territories. Even though it is harkening back to the glorious 90's black metal sound it is an evidence of how a fallen world can birth to something new and teeming with ominous potency. From the depths of darkness, a new power emerges, spreading itself over the voids Album Tracks 1. The Pillar 2. One Commandment 3. In the Great War of Nothing 4. Witchfuck 5. Stone Vault Astronomers 6. Prodigal King 7. A Tribe with No Mythology 8. Corridors Inside a Glacier 9. Thin Ice

On their sixth album Voids, Minus the Bear started with a blank slate, and inadvertently found themselves applying the same starting-from-scratch strategies that fueled their initial creative process. Album opener InchLast KissInch immediately establishes the band's renewed fervor. An appropriately dizzying guitar line plunges into a propulsive groove before the chorus unfolds into a multi-tiered pop chorus. From there the album flows into InchGive & Take,Inch a tightly wound exercise in syncopation that recalls the celebratory pulse of early Bear classics like InchFine + 2 PtsInch while exploring new textures and timbres. Album Tracks 1. Last Kiss 2. Give & Take 3. Call the Cops 4. Invisible 5. What About the Boat? 6. Silver 7. Tame Beasts 8. Erase 9. Robotic Heart 10. Lighthouse
