Mike Kinsella (American Football, Joan of Arc) returns with five new songs and his 5th as Owen. The usual blend of beautiful acoustic work and wry lyrics are complemented by the subtle yet intricate drums, vibraphones, strings and pedal steel contributions. A pre-cursor to the fall 2004 Own full-length.

Anyone vaguely familiar with Kinsella's musical lineage knows he's far from a one-note musician. And on new album, L'AMI DU PEUPLE, he expands his repertoire as a solo songwriter to include a touch of female vocals, pounding drums, and even dueling electric guitar lines.
