This is a brand new 1/72 scale diecast airplane model of the Fiat G55 Centauro Fighter Aircraft, "1 Gruppo, 3 Squadriglia, MM.91147, Italy" (1944), part of the Italian Air Force "Oxford Aviation" Series by Oxford Diecast. The model features a detailed exterior with true-to-scale detail, comes with a display stand, and does not have any openings. It is made of diecast metal with some plastic parts and is presented in the manufacturer’s original unopened packaging. The model measures approximately 5.25 inches in length with a wingspan of 6.75 inches and has realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels, and surface details for an authentic representation. The Fiat G55 Centauro was a single-engine, single-seat Italian fighter plane that participated in the Italian Campaign between 1943 and 1945, designed by Guiseppe Gabrielli and manufactured by Fiat Aviazione, with only about 275 produced before the end of the war. It was robust, fast, and powerful, excelling as a high-altitude interceptor, flown primarily by the Regia Aeronautica and the Aeronautica Nazionale Republicana (ANR).
