Tzigane music is an artistic form that can pretend to be universal, and for a cause. Filled with eternity in space as well as in time, it seems to have always encountered, welcoming lands as well as humilating ones, exil and happiness, periods of recognition and centuries of oblivion.
Remastered for the first time, and oversean by the band, the Beastie Boy's Ill Communication makes it's return to the vinyl . It comes as a 180 gram double gatefold 2 LP set. The second disc comes with 12 tracks, one which is previously unreleased, 3 remixes and one live track.

I thought it was inevitable that Teniz and Kassap meet because I found in these two artists the same incredible desire to harmonize in all it's colors, jazz and ethnic music. Once they met they had to start recording, and since Istanbul is the city of all inspirations what better place could they have found to do so? Back from Istanbul they bring you a few photos and especially the wonderful music created by Okay, Sylvain, Lennart, Alain, Yves et Nedim... Patrick Tandin
