Ozlo - Sleepbuds® 2, Noise-Masking Sleep Earbuds with Bluetooth Streaming, Sleep Detection, In-Ear Alarm, 14-Hr Battery - Blue

As a former user of the Bose sleepbuds, I have been eager to try the Ozlo sleepbuds to see what improvements they offer over the Bose versions. The Ozlo sleepbuds were created by former Bose engineers who worked on the original versions. I loved the Bose sleepbuds, but they had poor battery life, questionable durability, and could not play any content besides a small selection of masking sounds. The Ozlo Sleepbuds are a massive improvement and could be life-changing for light sleepers. === PROS === - Setup is incredibly easy through the Ozlo app. You don’t even have to navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your phone - the app does everything for you. - The sleepbuds are extremely lightweight with a tiny profile. As a side sleeper, I can barely feel them in my ears while I sleep. The pre-installed medium tips fit perfectly in my ears, but there are four other tip sizes included in the box. - The sleepbuds are incredibly effective at blocking out noise from your partner (snoring), upstairs neighbors, city sounds, and more. They aren’t noise cancelling, but the sleepbuds form a relatively tight seal in my ears that blocks out most external noise. Combined with the masking sounds included in the Ozlo app, I have not been woken up by any external noises since I started wearing the sleepbuds. The sleepbuds can get pretty loud, but the volume doesn’t get as high as standard headphones or earbuds. - Unlike the old Bose sleepbuds, you aren’t limited to only the masking sounds included in the app. The Ozlo sleepbuds are capable of playing audio from any app, you so can fall asleep to podcasts, YouTube videos, music, etc. - Battery life is more than enough to get you through a full night - and maybe even two nights. Ozlo claims up to 14 hours of battery life on a single charge. - The charging case has built-in smart features that can track your sleep metrics, including ambient light, noise, room temperature, sleep length, and more. This information has been incredibly useful in tracking the quality of my sleep. === CONS === - I wish the charging case had built-in wireless charging, since I have a wireless charger on my nightstand. The case can only be charged via USB-C, so I now have to keep a cable on my nightstand. - The lights on the charging case seem overly bright, especially for something that is likely going to be used at night when you are trying to fall asleep. There is no way to turn off the lights or adjust the brightness. - Audio quality is decent, but don’t buy these thinking that they are high-end earbuds. Their primary purpose is noise masking, so these aren’t going to have top-tier audio fidelity. === OVERALL === I’m very impressed with the Ozlo sleepbuds. If you previously used the Bose sleepbuds, these are a significant upgrade and have become essential for me as someone living in a city with a lot of street noise. There are a few minor issues that I think Ozlo could improve in a future iteration, but overall, these are high-quality sleepbuds that can significantly improve sleep quality for light sleepers.

Trouble sleeping? Give the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 a try. I’ve never been a good sleeper and have tried all kinds of noise machines and sleep devices. Some work better than others. These come packaged beautifully. Instructions are clear and concise and you’ll be up and running in minutes. After downloading the App, you’ll be synced up and running. Give them a full charge before your first night of sleep. Choosing different sounds was easy. There is a library to select from. Note that only so many load onto the earbuds, as there is a limit. So you’ll have to “replace” sounds. Settings was straight forward and the App overall is pretty easy to use. There are many different masking sounds to choose from. One note, the volume can only be controlled through the App, not the volume dials on your phone. I do wish the volume could be controlled by the phone as well, especially when in bed and you want to tweak the volume. You will have to open the App and do so there. As for the buds, they come with a wide variety of size inserts to fit your ears perfectly. They are comfortable when inserted and super lightweight. Now, for me, it comes down to sleeping positions. I can only sleep on my side and that’s where I have an issue. I don’t blame the buds, but the fact is when sleeping on your side, they do slightly push in your ears and it can be a slight “pain”. I’m sure some will not mind at all. For me, the pressure on my ears is slightly a “pain”. For back and stomach sleepers, these would be ideal. For side sleepers, it all depends on your tolerance level and the softness of your pillow. I find I can make it through most nights, but as a side sleeper, there are times I have to take them out due to them being irritating from the pressure of them pushing into my ears. Again, that’s just my personal experience. These can be a game changer for most. The battery life is superb and make it though the entire night with life to spare. I love the charging case as well. All the components are super well made and durable. I recommend these to give them a try. For most, they will be awesome and truly help you sleep. It is just that I’m a light sleeper and the being a side sleeper makes it a little tough for me. Overall these are an incredible product and should be tried by all looking to get a good nights sleep.

These OZLO Sleepbuds® 2 are not my first pair of sleep buds and have to say they have come quite a ways since my first pair. The OZLO Sleepbuds® 2 case is beautiful and well made. The case can charge the sleep buds a few times before needing to be recharged. They include several different ear tip sizes help fit comfortably into your ear. I downloaded the OZLO app and paired the case and sleep buds to my phone. It was very easy to get the OZLO Sleepbuds® 2 customized to all my preferences. There are so many ways to customize the sleep buds to aide in sleep. You can listen to audiobooks, music, or masking sounds. The OZLO Sleepbuds® 2 are comfortable and do help mask my husband’s snoring and outside noise. I will say if you are a side sleeper like I am, I have noticed it can make my ears a little sore in the morning. I have not had any issues with connectivity while sleeping which I have experienced in the past with other brands of sleep buds. My preference is to use the masking sounds to keep the levels consistent throughout the night. The sleep buds have done a good job masking the sounds outside to help keep me asleep. In the morning you can upload the sleep data to the OZLO app to see how well you slept the night before. The app can help analyze your sleep patterns to help improve the quality of your sleep. So far, I find the OZLO Sleepbuds® 2 to be helpful in masking the outside noise and help me sleep a little better. I do hope one day to find a pair of sleep buds that are more comfortable for side sleepers. These do help me relax and fall asleep quickly, so for that, I do really like these sleep buds!

As the spouse of a loud snorer, I’m willing to try just about anything for better sleep. Earplugs fall out and feel uncomfortable, wedge pillows didn’t help, so I was hoping these Ozlo Sleepbuds would finally make a difference. Design & Setup The Ozlo case is beautifully made—aluminum with a smooth sliding cover—and the setup through the Ozlo app was straightforward. The app is easy to navigate and offers more than 50 different sounds, ranging from rain, ocean waves, and white noise to more unusual options like an idling engine or a passing train. I got a laugh out of the “soar” sound, which mimics the inside of an airplane. When I’m actually flying, I use noise canceling headphones to block that exact noise. Comfort The Sleepbuds fit my ears comfortably and sit recessed enough that I can sleep on my side. I still notice them, but they aren’t painful. I’ve only used them for a few days, so I may get more accustomed to the feel over time. A few nights, I woke up and removed them because they were bothering me. Even without playing any sound, the soft rubber tips block out roughly half of the snoring volume, which helps. Usage The Sleepbuds worked well overall. The soothing sounds helped me fall asleep several nights, and I didn’t hear my partner snoring at all. Snoring volume varies, so I can’t say whether those were particularly loud nights, but the buds definitely helped. You can also stream music and podcasts from your phone if you prefer. One minor inconvenience: although the app offers 50+ sounds, they must be uploaded to the Sleepbuds rather than streamed. Each time I chose a new sound, I had to place the buds in the case so it could transfer—about four minutes per sound. The buds can store only ten sounds at a time, so adding a new one means replacing an existing one. Overall I like these Sleepbuds more than I expected. They’re comfortable, offer a wide variety of sounds, and genuinely help reduce snoring noise. They do take some getting used to, and my ears occasionally itch after wearing them for a while. I haven’t tried the sleep tracking feature yet since I already use other devices for that.

My significant other is a very light sleeper so it was an easy decision to get these Ozlo nighttime sleep buds for her. I figured it would be a win-win situation for us both if she liked them. After a few nights of use I was pleasantly surprised that not only did she like them, but that she loved them! Everything you need to use these earbuds is included in the box. Setup is easy because the App walks you through the pairing process. Once they are paired to your phone, all it takes is putting the earbuds on your ears at night and let them do their thing. Of course the App has numerous features and customization options available. The setting she mainly uses is to turn on a white noise after the earbuds senses she has fallen asleep. There are a few different sleep sounds to choose from. But even if you don’t use a sleep sound the noise cancellation capability does an excellent job of identifying and canceling out sound. The earbuds are comfortable to wear and most people will not even notice that they are there. They are comparable to earplugs in size so if you can tolerate having earplugs in you should have no problem wearing these earbuds. A great feature the Sleepbuds 2 offers is that they sense the timing and quality of your sleep. Every morning a sleep report is available for your review. The App even identifies how many times at night it blocked a noise and the decibel level of said noise! Since I game them to her, my partner has used them every night without fail. For this reason I give the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 the highest possible recommendation.
