The first recording of Paul Hindemith's InchPlöner MusiktagInch is now released This educational work has not been heard as a whole since it's world premiere in 1932 by the composer himself. Initiated and edited by the conductor Jobst Liebrecht, the musical day was realized in Berlin on 13 October 2008 by the Hans Werner Henze Music School in Marzahn-Hellersdorf as well as the local youth symphony orchestra which were both supported by several children's choirs from Berlin. Even the renowned baritone Dietrich Henschel and musicians of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra could be won over to this large project. The aim of this ambitious initiative is to bring young musicians and professionals together and approach the composer's ideas InchplayfullyInch InchI hope, on the one hand, that this music is perceived as a highlight of Hindemith's educational oeuvre and among his complete worksInch, says conductor Jobst Liebrecht. InchOn the other hand, I hope for the Hans Werner Henze Music School in Marzahn-Hellersdorf or, in general, for the educational policy in Berlin that people remember the roots and ideals with which the music school movement began, and that they move forward from the right sense of tradition.Inch The InchPlöner MusiktagInch sets a whole day to music The four parts Morgenmusik [Morning Music], Tafelmusik [Table Music], Kantate [Cantata] and Abendkonzert [Evening Concert] have been written for different levels of difficulty and instrumentations - from recorder trio to orchestral piece and three-part choir. Hindemith wrote the work for a four-day stay in a boarding school in Plön, Schleswig-Holstein in June 1932 where he made music with pupils. Album Tracks 1. Morgenmusik 2. Tafelmusik 3. Kantate 4. Abendkonzert

The young cellist Christoph Heesch is releasing a revolutionary album on GENUIN. The prizewinner of the Fanny Mendelssohn Sponsorship Award plays four cello concertos from 1924-25, each of which is a sensation in itself. The composers Paul Hindemith, Jacques Ibert, Bohuslav Martinu and Ernst Toch wrote exciting music for an exciting time they broke all conventions and put the solo instrument and orchestra in a new relationship to each other. Christoph Heesch throws himself into these virtuoso, melodious, cumbersome works with verve. In short absolutely worthwhile works that you do not want to listen to anywhere else than from this . Christoph Heesch is one of the most exciting artists of his generation. Born in Berlin in 1995, he is currently studying at the Berlin University of the Arts with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt. He was previously a student of Jens Peter Maintz. A solo cellist of the Esperanza Ensemble and the Eroica Berlin ensemble, he combines insights of historically-informedj performance practice with modern instruments. Album Tracks 1. Kammermusik NR. 3 Op. 36 NR. 2 (1924-1925) 2. Konzert FÜR Violoncello Und Blasorchester (1925) 3. Konzert FÜR Violoncello Und Kammerorchester Op. 35 (1924) 4. Concertino FÜR Violoncello, Bläser, Klavier Und Schlagzeug C-Moll H. 143 (1924)

Paul Hindemith's compositions for a cappella choir are distinguished by a richness of expression and mood manifested in various compositional techniques and artistic forms. Again and again in his writings and textbooks, Hindemith emphasized the important role of the singing voice as a natural instrument for the composer-in-the-making to test his compositional sketches as well as for the layperson and music lover for spontaneous singing and music making. The CD presents choral compositions on texts by Bertolt Brecht, Gottfried Benn, Walt Whitman, Fitz-James O'Brien, medieval and self-composed texts. Both dramatic and humorous, light tones in these choral works show the breadth of Hindemith's skillfulness. The CD was awarded the Quarterly German Record Critics' Award and the InchEcho Klassik 2001Inch (best choral-work recording)! Album Tracks 1. Über Das Frühjahr, for 4-Part Men's Chorus (TTBB) 2.
