2 part question, will it fit a 2014 VW beetle Diesel with fender audio system (being dual channel it wont use full capabilities but hopefully will use all speakers), also if i were to plug that jack into like a phone, would it just play? or no?

While all speakers will play after installation, the ability to fade between the front and rear speakers individually will be lost. The 3.5mm jack on the unit is for retaining steering wheel controls when it is connected to a radio with that capability, and is not for an audio input.
Will this work with an aftermarket android infotainment system in my 2008 passat? The last time i installed an infotainment unit without this,my car went into limp mode. Will this prevent the cars computer from thinking that the new unit does not belong?
