    This was easy enough to install ,it needed a way to plug your USB into this so it would work the rest of the vehicle ,I had to leave some of my components unplug ,so it don't hook up everything on your vehicle ,only the main harness ,For the money for this it should've hooked up everything ....

    Good for basic car radio hookup

    Bought new truck and the factory radios leave a lot to be desired for sound. So I bought a Kenwood unit that will do so much more than factory radio in sound and functionality. Had Best Buy install. Lost about half of what the original radio did. (Lost door ajar, turn signal, and security sounds. Took it back to Best Buy and they said it needed a Maestro wiring harness for the radio to fully function. I bought the Maestro wiring harness as they don't sell it and they installed it. Now the radio does all the original functions plus so much more. As an example you can go to the gauge portion on screen and what your engine with gauges that you don't even have on dash. (engine load, intake temperature and so on) Buy the maestro wiring harness.

    Provides Steering controls to new stereo

    Serves as attachment to new stereo and seems to be quality product. Have not experienced any issues. Enjoy being able to use controls

    Wire harness

    My gmc truck came with onstar and a steering wheel control unit this wiring harness was not easy to install but it works just fine.

  • Will this retain vehicles personalization settings in 2014 Chevy Silverado after installing an aftermarket radio? Thank you

    Any settings done in the factory radio will be retained after replacing it with the RP5-GM51 and your aftermarket radio. However, if you wish to modify the personal settings you would either need to reinstall the factory radio to do so, or purchase the PAC-UP interface updater and leave it connected in the truck, and use a laptop with the PAC-Audio Vehicle Settings App to change them
