Palberta - Roach Goin' Down - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Esteemed musician, songwriter and author Rodney Crowell has teamed up with New West Records to TARPAPER SKY, his new self-produced album. It comes fast on the heels of OLD YELLOW MOON, Crowell's critically lauded collaboration with Emmylou Harris, which won a 2013 Grammy Award and was named 2013 Album of the Year by the Americana Music Association. Crowell has pushed the boundaries of country, folk and roots music since long before the term Americana was coined as a genre, making a name for himself and gaining respect as both a songwriter and as an artist.

On Palberta5000, Ani Ivry-Block, Lily Konigsberg, and Nina Ryser max out traditional pop forms-blowing the genre out into rich, kinetic extensions-to create their own hardcore style of popular music. Together these 16 adventurous, hyper-melodic tracks represent the band's most accessible album by far-one that is bursting at the seams with vocal hooks and exuberant playing. Palberta5000 was recorded with Matt Lambozza (PALM, Shimmer), whose Peekskill, New York, studio is located in the original home and family lamp-store of Paul Reuben (Pee Wee Herman). Lambozza's recording and mix capture the band's rollicking instrumentation and vocal precision with greater clarity than anyone has before. Tracks like the emotionally chaotic InchBefore I Got Here,Inch which charges hard before turning on a dime into a hypnotic kraut-surf outro, convey the panicked feeling of falling in love, while Palberta's ear for pop music makes itself apparent on heart-melting harmonies like those fround on InchCorner Store.Inch Adding variation to Palberta5000's well thought-out song cycle are lavish downtempo jams like the slow waltz that is InchThe Way That You Do,Inch and the enchanting InchRed Antz.Inch Taken together, these songs create a full album experience, and one that is sure to excite the band's devoted following while welcoming new fans along for the ride.

2016 . It is done - for 20 years Perzonal War has been raging in the German metal underground - and this should be a reason to celebrate Inside The New Time Chaoz is their 20th anniversary . The record contains 11 tracks from the band's early period (5 songs from the album The Inside (1998) and 6 songs from the second one Newtimechaos (2000)). Both albums have been sold out for a long time and had never been released outside of Germany; so the band decided to re-record some songs in the current line-up. The tracks have basically the same vibe like the originals - on the other hand they got some new energy and fresh arrangements and sound like Perzonal War in 2016.
