The second single from their album InchRESUMEInch is called InchADSRInch, an abbreviation for InchAttack, Decay, Sustain, Inch. These are the four components that determine the rise and fall of a musical impulse from pressing the key to silence ATTACK is the time required for the initial rise in level from zero to peak, starting with pressing the key. DECAY is the time it takes to pass from the attack level to the intended sustain level. SUSTAIN is the level during the main sequence of the duration of the sound until the button is released. is the time it takes for the level to drop from sustain level to zero when the button is released. 2022 . Manu Propria - a Latin phrase meaning Inchwith one's own handInch - is the name of the adventurous project from proficient sample-based producer Dday One. The term also signifies the hand-crafted nature of the album's compositions, meticulously assembled using nothing but vinyl records, a turntable, and a hardware sampler. The process emphasized human touch, intention, and an application of experience, not unlike other manual arts like assemblage or painting. The result is Manu Propria, a collection of 10 deftly constructed tracks layered with beats, soundscapes, and musical snatches from distant sources. Manu Propria is a companion among Dday One's extensive discography as many of the tracks were recorded alongside those earlier sessions.
