Here's where it all started
I basically bought this when it went on sale to complete my Parks and Rec collection, because Parks and Rec is one of my all time favorite TV shows, and really stands up to repeat viewings. Some of the characterizations (esp. Leslie and Andy) and the show's tone are little different from the far superior subsequent seasons because they were still trying to find their footing and voice, but by the last episode of this season, it was getting pretty good. I still like Andy's song, "The Pit," because *Spoiler* "We all fell into the pit!" LOL! Even thought I adore this show, I only gave this season 4 stars because they set the bar so high with subsequent seasons, but this season still has its very funny moments, simply because the ensemble cast is amazing, and is led by the inimitable Amy Poehler.

A Decent Beginning
The major draw for this show begins with the incredible cast. Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, and Aziz Ansari are the most recognizable names, but like The Office this cast has plenty of talent waiting to make a name for themselves. First and foremost is Nick Offerman, who was seemingly born to play this role given the look and voice are perfectly suited. Jim O'Heir, Retta, and Aubrey Plaza all fill in equally well supporting roles. While there is not much shown in only 6 episodes, there is a solid foundation from which to build.

Pretty funny
Didn't love this one as much as I'd hoped to, but I have a feeling if I keep watching it'll get even better. Great cast of actors!
