- Description: The 'Claire Parsons Quintet' is a young multinational collaboration between the Luxembourgish/British singer Claire Parsons, the Israeli guitarist Eran Har Even, the French/Luxembourgish drummer and pianist Jérôme Klein, the Luxembourgish bass player Pol Belardi and drummer Niels Engel. The project is based in Luxembourg, Brussels and Amsterdam and is a vigorous contribution to the constantly developing modern European jazz sound. Their first album 'In Geometry' is the result of Claire's search for her own musical identity and is inspired by composition techniques that study geometrical forms and their impact on the theoretical and practical world of music. Each of the musicians bring their unique vision and style to the music and thus create a very intimate and exciting atmosphere with the intention of creating harmony and balance within the existing environment. The album reveals their broad influences that go from jazz, folk, electro, pop, rock to classical music. The young Austrian illustrator Astrid Rothaug created the visual concept of the album and has drawn by hand the original video for the first single of the album 'No Shape'. The objects represented by the illustrations will find their place among the musicians on stage during the performances and will allow an exciting interaction between audio and visuals in a full 'In Geometry' experience.

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
