Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1977 album including 10 bonus tracks. Phyllis Hyman is the self-titled solo debut studio album by soul singer/songwriter Phyllis Hyman. The album charted on the Billboard 200 chart, with two singles released from the album InchNo One Can Love You MoreInch was the most successful, charting on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles Chart. This 1977 set from one of music's most emotional and loved singers including many songs she would be later identified with, like Skip Scarborough's InchNo One Can Love You MoreInch which is indicative of her plentiful sensual charm and her rich vocal timbre. Hyman's vocal prowess is well known, as the album shows that she was gifted with an uncommon maturity. Hyman was only in her mid-20's when the album was recorded. That self-possession made her glide through the majority of the material, as on Thom Bell and Linda Creed's InchI Don't Want to Lose YouInch which became a classic tearjerker. Phyllis Hyman veers from instant melodic classics to unformed ideas, a mix that prevents it from being essential. Album Tracks 1. Loving You, Losing You 2. No One Can Love You More 3. One Thing in My Mind 4. I Don't Want to Lose You 5. Deliver the Love 6. Was Yesterday Such a Long Time Ago 7. The Night Bird Gets the Love 8. Beautiful Man of Mine 9. Children of the World 10. Loving You, Losing You (12Inch Version) 11. Betcha By Golly Wow (12Inch Version) 12. Loving You, Losing You (7Inch Version) 13. No One Can Love You More (7Inch Version) 14.
