- Description: Paul McCartney - InchPaul Is LiveInch. Released in 1993, Paul Is Live was recorded during the New World Tour in support of his Off the Ground album. His fifth live album is famous for it's title's double meaning and the rumor-scotching cover art. Ever since the 1969 of Abbey Road, there had been hoax-fueled stories of Paul's untimely death. The artwork is a play on the famous Abbey Road cover, with Paul crossing that same street but wearing shoes and using his left hand (originally, his bare feet and cigarette in his right hand had supposedly been clues it wasn't him on the cover). In addition to solo, Wings and Beatles favorites, the album also offers an insight into the band's soundchecks with the final 3 songs being improvised during rehearsals on tour. 2019 Remaster. SHM-CD (Super High Material) featuring more clarity, depth and definition of sound. Includes miniature poster, inner-sleeve and booklet featuring Japanese translations of the lyrics. Limited Edition. Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Off the Wall is the fifth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979, following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz. While working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album. Recording sessions took place between December 1978 and June 1979 at Allen Zentz Recording, Westlake Recording Studios, and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California. Jackson collaborated with a number of other writers and performers such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Rod Temperton. Five singles were released from the album.
