About This Item
- Details
- Genre: Pop
- Description: Pavement's extraordinary fifth album is their first to be recorded on 24 tracks and the fist to features the production work of Nigel Godrich (Radiohead OK Computer, Beck Mutations). The result is a spacious, detailed sound, bigger than any previous Pavement record. The guitars are crystalline, the highs and lows clearly separated. After 11 years of making music, Pavement continues to surprise and provoke. The varied Terror Twilight layers soaring vocal melodies over Ringo Starr tempo changes, blues jams with the swing of the Groundhogs and early 70s classic rock tropes from Don McLean to the James Gang. By far their most solid and coherent album to date, Terror Twilight still contains the classic Pavement elements A country, folksy roots-rock shamble foundation, cryptic lyrics and the occasional two-second blast of white noise. Album Tracks 1. Spit on a Stranger 2. Folk Jam 3. You Are a Light 4. Cream of Gold 5. Major Leagues 6. Blues 7. Ann Don't Cry 8. Billie 9. Speak, See, Remember 10. The Hexx 11. Carrot Rope
