Best Soccer Game Out There
I been playing soccer games for many years and I have always bought FIFA, including this year. Well I traded FIFA in and found PES 2017 on sale and decided to buy it. It is better than FIFA. The controls feel better, the dynamics of the games feels more realistic and the graphics are a little better. The only thing that FIFA has over PES is that it has all of the licences for the different leagues and teams. PES does not have as many options for leagues and international teams.

The better soccer simulation
Every year I look forward to the PES vs FIFA battle. My main concern is how closely the gameplay mimics real soccer. This year, for a few years running, PES wins in that department. The player physics is very realistic and there does not seem to be an all important stat. For example you cant just run by everyone with a fast player. Also, the AI is improved, making defenders more tactically aware and difficult to penetrate. This year's version of PES has also improved their myclub mode, making it possible to target specific players by combining a set of scouts, instead of it being completely up to luck. PES doesn't have the financial clout of FIFA so it will probably never be able to compete with all the presentation value FIFA can offer. To me, authentic stadiums, real referrees, etc, do not take priority over the gameplay. FIFA also has a more diverse set of game modes and larger library of teams, plus licenses to give teams their real names, and to me those are FIFA's strengths. At the end of the day though, if you're looking for the most realistic soccer sim, it is definitely PES 2017.
