Let's admit it - FIFA is better in terms of presentation and contents. More people buy and play FIFA so it has better community online. However, PES still has its realistic and hardcore/pure soccer charm which many long-time fans appreciate. And this 2019 version is certainly the best in PES history. I am however docking one star because I can feel lack of content more than ever. It's not that PES 2019 did not improve over PES 2018. It is not expanding as much as FIFA does. Sure many people will prefer PES over FIFA but that does not justify Konami's lack of effort in coming up with new modes and giving customers a reason to buy $59.99 game another year after year.

The play is so fluid and it feels so real. I've been playing Fifa since Fifa 94. My first PES was 2018. I wasn't planning on purchasing this year again. Not a PES fanboy. I tried the demo and I was sold. PES is plain FUN. Konami desperately needs to hire a professional UI guy. Their menu is lacking, to say the least, but the gameplay is pure GOLD! If I had to choose I would buy PES 2019 over Fifa 2019 just because improvements are very minimal year over year. Konami this year is only supporting current gen system which allowed them to improve graphics over previous years. I suck defending in FIFA and in PES it feels I actually can control my defense vs holding all kind of buttons for second player, protecting, and so forth. In PES you are in control!!!! A++++

The game shines on the pitch, it's real futbol. The character models are great, pace of play, and. all physicals feel amazing. The downside and something some people wont be able to over is the licensing. They barely have any real teams, really sad.

The one thing I always despise about PES is the lack of licensed teams. Until I discovered that I was able to import data to create actual licensed teams. The creative control, the customization, and the engine this game runs on are all amazing. I can control all aspects of my player and customize them the way I want. Unlike Fifa, you can edit the teams to whatever you like. The graphics are also super accurate to the players, even though Real Madrid IS FIFA's team, PES still has the better character models. And the game play is solid as always, and with the new abilities the game is much more realistic. Overall, I am glad to have purchased this game for full price because it is worth it if you're a die hard soccer/futbol fan. Now I have something to play until FIFA goes on sale, ha!

Compared graphycally to the las one PES 2018, this one have more improvements in the field and in the physics of the ball, like previous generations it lacks licensing of the differents leagues around the world, but the great control and playability compensates this last part. Great game to had to play with friends.

Between this and Fifa, PES 19 gameplay is much better but the problem is with licensing. Only a few well known team is available. To have a complete game, you must download and update add on files manually. Not hard but could be annoying.

I bought PES a few years ago and I really enjoyed the play in the game. Since then I tried FIFA a couple of years but I found it not to be as much fun and entertaining as PES, so I decided to buy one of the older games and once again I find PES to be far better than FIFA. I suggest you try the comparison if you like to play a soccer game. I think you will see the difference.

It has improved from last year. Custom kits are still an option to get full license kits for all the leagues. AI seems to be a little finicky but overall is a good solid experience. Master League remains unchanged but still offers a good solid option for those who prefer offline mode. Online offers a little better services compare to last year. Seems there is more of a player base for this year. Excellent game and still ahead of FIFA19.

PES 2019 is really a great football game but it lacks a number of things. Now im not going to talk about licences because everybody knows that already, the thing that bothers me the most is how ridicilous the superstar difficulty is! It doesnt mather if you are a small team or FC Barcelona, alle teams play as if they are Real Madrid on steroids! Now you can say okay then play on top player difficulty but then the game becomes extremely easy! There is no balance in difficulty! It seems very scripted! I really believe that its one of the best football games when it comes to ball physics and graphics and all the things that matter on the pitch but playing master league becomes extremely annoying when you keep losing because of scripting!

This is a "real" football game. If you're a true football fan then gameplay is what should matter most to you, and PES definitely wins at that versus fifa. Sure, it lost several licenses. But, with option files that's easily sorted. Fifa gameplay is the same year after year. The details in pes are amazing. Recommended.

Well, by now everyone knows the other soccer game now owns pretty much all the big licenses but PES does have licenses for individual teams like Liverpool. So instead of Liverpool-Manchester City, you get Liverpool vs Manchester Blue. Teams can be edited but it's a pain. The gameplay itself is excellent and the graphics are great. I'd still buy it on sale or with an incentive (like a gift card with purchase which is what I got when I bought it from Best Buy).

Excellent addition to the pes family. Before this, I played a lot pes2010 for ps3, by far my favorite game. The improvements on the graphics is amazing, also liked the narration in Portuguese from Brazil. Only downside is that there are only a few licensed teams, I guess fifa did all they could to block the others. Still much better than ea’s fifa.

I have been playing EA stuffs for years. After all those years of disappointed features. This year, I chose PES 2019 and it is far better then FIFA, the ball bounce likes a real-life physics and I wish they can get the license done. No more FIFA 20xx for me, and EA is lucky that no one wrote a better hockey game in the market.
