The Philips B5109 is a low-profile 2.0-channel soundbar built to noticeably improve on a TV's built-in speakers. Two full-range drivers deliver up to 120 watts of max power (60W RMS) across a 60 Hz-20 kHz frequency range, with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS Virtual:X working together to add cinematic depth and a virtual 3D surround effect from a single bar. Four EQ presets (Movie, Music, Voice, Stadium) plus Dialogue Enhancement and Night Mode let listeners tailor sound to whatever they're watching, while HDMI ARC with EasyLink (HDMI-CEC) allows one-remote volume control on compatible TVs, including automatic Roku TV setup. Optical, 3.5mm AUX, and USB inputs round out wired connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio enables low-lag wireless streaming from a smartphone or tablet. The included wall-mount brackets and sleek, compact housing make it easy to install above or below a wall-mounted TV, and the free Philips Home Entertainment app puts EQ mode, source, and surround sound controls on a phone.
