Inside the box for the Philips Series 6000 Shaver, you’ll find the shaver itself, a trimming comb, a skin stretcher cap, a soft glide cap, an exfoliation glove, a cleaning brush, a detachable 3ft USB power cord, and some documentation. The shaver body is constructed of a glossy white plastic with a matte lavender plastic on the head. The power button is a physical button located on the front of the body, about where your thumb would rest. The head is removable via a small button on the back of the body. The blade assembly is easily found via online retailers and is reasonably priced. The shaver feels good in hand. It is easily gripped and not slippery, even when wet, despite the hard, smooth plastic construction. Dry use on legs has produced a pretty smooth shave with no skin irritation. Operation is a little loud, but not annoyingly so. Battery life has been excellent, having used it several days in a row without recharging. A couple of notes: Due to the wet/dry nature of the shaver, it cannot be charged during operation. There appears to be no indicator on the shaver for charge level. And, frustratingly, the instructions stress that you should only use a Philips power source HQ87 to charge the shaver. Yet, this is not included. (For what its worth, I used an old phone charger and it seemed to work just fine). All in all, the Series 6000 shaver produces good results at a fair price and should serve you well.

Following is the review based on the usage by 14 years old girl, directly from her input: - easy grip - works better on medium/long hairs - works well both wet and dry - removable head - can withstand many uses after charging just once - no problems with charging - head is a little hard to clean due to the spinning thing in the middle - can use both ways because the design of the razor includes a blade on both side (ex: instead of having to lift the razor after every use you can just glide it up and down) - lightweight - bulky - unlikely to get a cut from the razor And my wife added on - It is smooth and doesn't pull the hair. - Wish the cleaning brush were bit longer as it is quite tiny. - During the dry shave, the heir falls down on the top of the shaver instead of collected inside, and it get stick to the shaver - The blade is not sharp such when touched doesn't cut On the battery, after full charge, it seems to last at least three days, although charging took quite a while. Aside of that, it during the conversation about the review, it was repeated several time it is bulky to carry as if needed for a trip. The Philips Lady Shaver 6000 series is a rechargeable wet/dry shaver for full body use. The shaver comes several accessories, which include an exfoliating glove, trimmer comb, skin stretcher attachment, and a soft glide cap. The shaver includes a charging cable, but you need to supply your own USB charging plug. The shaver is lightweight and very easy to use, and the 40+ minute runtime means a single charge should easily cover a session. My GF was the user of this shaver, which made for a fun time of asking questions. She has thicker hair and sensitive skin, so trying out a new shaver/razer hasn’t always worked out. She originally came from using a Schick Hydro Silk Razer + Bikini Trimmer, but also uses Gillette Venus Disposables. Her Schick was in need of replacement, so the Philips Lady Shaver became the next candidate. Going over the included accessories required us to look through the manual to understand how everything worked. The shaver has the center cutting foil (closest shave) and trimmer heads on the front and rear. The trimmer tips are rounded to reduce scratches on sensitive skin. The skin stretcher attachment is used for larger areas like your legs, and it helps to pull the skin tight and make the hairs stand up straight. The soft glide cap the clips on and covers the rear trimmer head. With it in place it helps the shaver to glide over curvier areas without nipping your skin. The trimmer comb clips onto the shaver head and leaves behind 3mm of hair – this head is recommended for shaving around sensitive areas like within the bikini line. The comb can also be used if longer hair is present that needs to be trimmed back before being cut with the shaver foil. The shaver foil can be removed for replacement once it stops cutting effectively – the manual recommends every 12 months. The replacement head is BRL140, which appears to be readily available online. My GF usually shaves during her showers with shaving gel/cream to assist, so the thought of using a dry skin shaver was new. This is mostly down to issues with sensitive skin, and getting razer burn/bumps without it. We had a wedding to attend last weekend so that was her first chance to try it out – she used the exfoliating glove the day before like the instructions recommended. Dry shaving without any attachments worked just fine – she did a pit and a leg without any issue. She tried the soft glide cap on the other pit and back of her knee like the manual suggested. Results were pretty similar, but she felt covering up the back trimmer head with the cap gave her a little more assurance that she wouldn’t get nipped. The peace of mind was worth using it. She used the skin stretcher attachment on the other leg – no issues at all with it. The shaver cut the hair more efficiently with fewer passes, which was the goal. The trimmer comb was used for trimming around the bikini area. She said it worked fine, but she preferred the disposables + shave cream for the closer shave. She said if time was an issue the shaver was the faster option and would work in a pinch. After shaving she uses lotion to avoid dry/irritated skin being any issue. Over the next 2 days she didn’t experience any razor burn or bumps, and only had 1 ingrown which is much better than usual. Switching over to a wet shave she went through the same process this weekend. Results were fairly similar. Shaving went a little faster on her legs with the skin stretcher attachment. She tried shaving areas with just water, and other spots with cream. The cream worked/felt the best, but just using water worked fine as well while also being a little faster. Shaving around the bikini area the assessment remained the same – disposable was better, but the comb attachment worked fine and didn’t result in any skin getting nipped. Overall, the shaver was a little faster than using the disposable if she didn’t use any shaving cream. Once the shaving cream was in place the disposable worked faster and gave a slightly closer shave. She did find she missed a small spot on her leg, which usually is something she has to wait for her next shower to clear up, but with the shaver she just waiting for her skin to completely dry before touching things up quickly. Again, after 2 days she has no bumps or razer burn and no ingrown hairs. After 2 usages the shaver still has charge left, but I don’t know if it would make it through a 3rd session. She liked the shaver’s ergonomics, and said it was easy to hold whether wet or dry. The surface texture really helped in the shower to maintain grip. The overall shape of the razer body made it easy to hold in position for shaving wherever. Overall, this is a good little shaver setup. It provided a comfortable shave whether used wet or dry. It worked well on thicker hair, and didn’t cause any issues like razor burn.

The Philips Lady Electric Shaver, Series 6000 in white, is a treat to use for myself, but my wife loves it too. We have been both using it for a week now and we both have pros and cons, this will be a way to show everyone is different when it comes to razors not one razor in the world will ever be 5 stars by everyone. Lets start off with me wife, she has average thick hair on her legs and arm pits. She said the razor with the white gaurd is the best one for her and the only one that doesn't pull her leg hair. She was very pleased it also does her bikini line with ease and was very smooth. She did state the razor does kind of pull short stubbies and is definitely an every other day shave for her with it. She also wanted to let you know it leaves her skin almost nair short and I can say it is very very smooth. My wife also loves it works in water much better than any past electric razor and for her actually works better in water. Now, this intrigued me as I used to use another brand and I wanted to compare the male specific versus the Phillips. I currently knick myself every time I used that razor, now with the Phillips, I have done it every day keeping my body hair at bay and looking great with zero knicks or cuts. Also, big one for me, it can be used every day on myself, it does not oull stubbies for me, so, there you can see the razor is different for everyone. We all know how it works, what is yours is hers! I’ve Philips Multigroom Trimmer I use for my beard that lately has been getting used for other areas by my girlfriend, I do sanitize the blades regularly, but I have wanted to get her one of her own. Which is why I picked up the Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000, as it would work in the shower and had a trimmer head meant for more than a beard. Pros: - Gentle and smooth travel across skin. - Easy to Use. - Wet & Dry Use. Cons: - Requires multiple passes to get clean shave. - Hard to clean and keep hair off. - Long charge time for limited run time. Out of the box, the Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 came pre-charged which lasted for at least 30mins of use. Included is the Wet & Dry shaver, 3 guards: a Trimming Comb, Skin stretcher cap, and Soft glide cap, an Exfoliation glove, and a USB-A charge cable. Initial impression in hand feels great, the shape makes it easy to handle and control. Even when wet, the smooth material is easy to grip and handle. The first thing to know, electric shavers are rarely if ever going to give you as close of a shave as a razer. Having mainly used bladed razers in the past, I’ve switched over to electric trimmers now due to convenience and reduced chance of cuts. The Philips Lady Electric Shaver does give a close trim, but it does take a few passes with the right angle or guard. On average I had to do 4-5 passes to get a good clean patch on my leg, but for lighter hair it might take less. Estimated run time was accurate, I got about 40 mins of use out of a single charge. To recharge back up to full, it took a good overnight charge, which was rather long compared to my other Philips Trimmer that took about 2 hours to charge up 30mins of use. Though that could be due to the USB charger I used as well. For our use, an overnight charge worked fine as the 40mins was enough for legs plus some testing on myself. For both dry and wet use, the shaver was very comfortable with no razer burn or cuts. I did manage to pull some hair, but that was user error as I dragged the shaver too fast over my leg. Smooth and slow passes took off more hair and reduced the number of overall passes needed to achieve a close shave. The different caps did make getting around curves like the knees and arm pits. One thing I found annoying was how much hair would get stuck near the trimming heads and to the body of the shaver, even when using in the shower. Overall, I’ll be keeping the Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 as it works well for the areas that are hard to use the Multigroom Trimmer in without pinching, but the electric shaver will still be second to a razer blade shave. The ease of use and comfort does make it very convenient for trimming or quick touch ups as needed.

This Lady Shaver Series 6000 by Philips gives a great comfortable shave. The shaver is easy to hold and handle when shaving various areas of the body. You get the shaver, the exfoliation glove, soft glide cap, skin stretcher cap, and the trimmer comb. There is a USB charging cable included, for which you'll need to provide your own wall adapter plug. The rechargeable shaver is a nicely powered unit that has sufficient power and charge to be used for approximately 40 minutes of time. It takes about 10 hours of charging to get the shaver to a full charge. Using this shaver is very simple with the push of a button. There are trimmer tips on both sides to cut any longer hairs along the surface of the skin, and the single foil shaver will help to get very close to the skin for a smooth feel. The single foil gives it easy mobility over the various curves and contours, which is super helpful around ankles and knees as well. The shaver makes it easy to shape and contour any hair that you would want to keep on your body and intimate areas. Overall this is a good looking shaver that is easy to use and lasts for a long period of time in both dry and wet situations. Use it in the shower with ease and also while you're just doing a quick maintenance cleanup before running out the door. Smooth shaves and effortless to look your best.

This shaver gave me better results than I had hoped. I had been on the lookout for women's electric razors. I was excited to give this product a try. Tired of disposable razors, this electric shaver provided a solution to my problem. My disposable razors would not work as well (men's razors are much sharper, if you ask me) and I was tired of trying a bunch of different brands and getting different results. My husband has two different Phillips shavers at home. Seeing that Phillips had created an electric shaver specifically for women, I was more than ready to try it out. The box contains the shaver (body), head (removable) that holds the blade (also removable), a comb cover/attachment, a skin stretcher attachment, and another attachment for a detailed shave. It comes with the USB charging cable and a tiny brush to clean the blade.This razor is also shaped so that it fits your hand comfortably. With simply attaching the correct covers (or simply using it as is) and pressing the power button, it's ready to use. One thing I particularly liked about it is that you are able to do a dry or wet shave. I tested the shaver with a dry shave first. I used the comb attachment to get rid of any longer hairs first. Second, I used of without attachments to make sure I got as much hair as I could. Not completely satisfied with the results (there were still a couple of hairs sticking out and some stubble), I decided to try it out in the shower for a wet shave. I made sure my skin was completely wet and rinsed thoroughly to get the best shave possible. I went over the same areas as before, trying not to over do it, but making sure they felt smoother. At the moment, it felt like I did better but not the best job. However, after a thorough body wash, once I got out of the shower, I realized my skin was baby smooth! All the areas I shaved felt beyond smooth. I'm not sure if it was the combination of the wet shave + moisturizing soap afterwards that did it, but the results were amazing! I didn't think I could get as clean or smooth a shave out of an electric razor as I did just then. I got absolutely no burns or cuts. The shavers' blade does not hurt you or cut you, but you should still be careful using it in sensitive areas. Just to clarify, I didn't use any product or lotion while shaving, just water! The manual/instructions say a dry shave is better than a wet one to get hairs to best separate from the skin. I would say you definitely need the combination of both a dry and wet shave for better results. Overall, I loved the results of the shave and I ended up tossing my disposable razors in the trash. I like that I'm able to pick up the razor from my restroom vanity and use it in my normal shower routine now. I am satisfied with this product and definitely recommend making the switch over from disposable to the Philips electric shaver. Your skin will thank you.

The Philips Lady Electric Shaver Series 6000 was exactly the tool that I expected it to be. This is an electric shaver that can be used both wet and dry to, well, shave! Out of the box, everything is straightforward. You have a pre-charged shaver, and several accessories: a trimming comb to go on the main shaving head, an exfoliation glove, a skin stretcher cap, soft glide cap, cleaning brush, and charge cable. The exfoliation glove is a nice touch to have been included, although this likely will be replaced quickly. The trimming comb does just that – trim your hair down to a very short 3mm length. This is recommended for the bikini area. The skin stretcher cap is meant to help stretch the skin, making the hairs more upright and easier to shave – this is meant to be used more for larger areas like your legs. The soft glide cap is meant for underarms and behind the knee, helping with those curved areas. The charging cable has a proprietary connection that goes into the bottom of the shaver and the other side is USB-A. It does NOT come with any charging block, so you’ll need to use your own USB power blocks. It’s also worth noting that that USB-A is a pretty slow charge, so expect to leave it on charge overnight. What it doesn’t come with is a travel case. There are other models that come with a drawstring pouch, but that’s still not the same. This feels very convenient and portable for travel, so it’s a bit of a disappointment there’s just no case in general for this and its accessories. As for using it, the size fits nicely in my hand and it's easy to maneuver over the areas being shaved. The skin stretcher cap does work in helping get a closer shave. It should be noted that while it is both wet and dry, the instructions make clear that you’ll see much better results using it dry. The shave isn't quite as close as a traditional razor but the convenience of being able to use it on wet or dry skin and without shave cream balances that out for me personally. Overall, it’s a great body shaver and I’d recommend it to others.

I have never tried an electronic shaver before for general shaving. For sensitive bikini area trims I’ve used Philips OneBlade, which is marketed to men, and have been very pleased. So I was curious to try the Philips Lady Shaver to see if it's design is better for my body. The shaver charged quickly. I tested the dry shave on my shins and found it to be gentle and easy. I could see this being a great option for a touch up- say if you need to give your armpits a quick shave for a sleevleess outfit. The instructions are very clear in the package and instruct you to use the trimming comb for delicate bikini area trims. I decided to try it out in the shower. It worked well. I felt no danger of cuts or nicks. I will admit I have a slight preference for the Philips OneBlade just because it’s so streamlined in it’s design. This razor does seem to have some features designed for a woman’s body like the trimming comb and the soft glide cap, so I’ll continue to test it out. Overall, I’d say if you are in the market for an all purpose, wet and dry electronic shaver designed for women, this is a pretty good option, and the price seems pretty reasonable too.

My wife has been using the cheap standard razors that cost like maybe 50 cents a piece for years and she always mentioned they work ok and that there are just fine. But I have a high end wet dry Philips shaver and she sees how smooth my face is after I use it. So I wanted to get her, her own Philips electric shaver and man does she love it and see why these cost a little bit more. She is very happy with how close the shave is and how smooth her skin is. No more razor bumps or irritation. Her favorite color is also purple. So this is perfect as she likes to color coordinate with all of her hygiene products lol. Battery life last pretty long as well especially since she doesn’t have too much hair on her body. If you are on the fence (if you are a woman) or if you are looking for your wife. This is a definite recommendation. You can not go wrong with a Philips. Great quality and an affordable price. You won’t regret it. This product also comes with several accessories and the charger cord.

The shaver itself is sturdy, nicely balanced and works wet or dry. This model kit includes an exfoliating glove, 3 guards, and a charging cable. NOTE: It does not include a power supply so you will have to buy that separately or use a spare one you might have laying around. I get that everyone is trying to save money and reduce e-waste, but I do wish the charging cable had an option to be used without a USB port. The multiple trimming options are a great feature. The included guard attachments make it hard to accidentally nick yourself with the various trim blades. PERFORMANCE / USE: As a life-long manual razor user, I found the shave didn’t feel as “close” as with my traditional razor. I also missed a lot of spots, despite repeatedly going over different areas, this could be attributed to user error. Maybe I just need more practice with an electric shaver versus a manual razor. For the most part I will continue to use a manual shaver as my primary, but use this to tidy up spots missed with my traditional razor and to do a quick buzz in between my usual manual razor shaves. RECOMMENDATION: If you are already used to power razors, this seems a like a good to average razor.

Traditionally I use a normal manual razor for my shaving needs but I have always wanted to try an electric razor and I am glad I finally did! I love this electric razor! Although it won't replace my manual razor, it's a fantastic companion especially if you are in a hurry. Features: -Comfortable ergonomic handle -Wireless wet or dry operation -Rechargeable battery with included cable -Multiple head attachments Pros: -The first thing I noticed about this razor when I pulled it out of the box was how comfortable it feels in the hand. -The razor provides an easy and consistent smooth shave. -The shave leaves no burns or bumps -You can use it in the shower or while dry and both provide an excellent shaving experience. Cons: -The included documentation leaves much to be desired. I would have rather had an instruction booklet that was easy to look at and read about what comes with the unit and how to use it. -I found the included attachments did not provide much value. None of them improved the experience and seemed somewhat gimmicky. -The battery life could be better and I feel it takes a long time to charge. All in all, it's a great device. I use it all the time and feel like it's a great value.

This razor has some ups and downs ranging from its handle/feel to its ability to actually provide a sound shave. Firstly, this razor does come with several attachments that serve as a guide to having a clean shave. They snap on/off with ease. On the physical or build side the handle is grippy and does the trick allowing a firm, secure grip on the razor it self. On the other side of the table the shave it self is not too "close". When I see a top level brand in this product arena creating a razor, I make some assumptions that it should deliver a close, clean shave. This was not the experience that was received. It didn't grip/cut the hair as closely as hope even. It is even stated on the box that it can be used in wet or dry environments, the majority of the time that this have been used has been in the shower. Needless to say, on the dry side it does operate as expected. All in all this trimmer does the trick on the dry side but has some improvement to be had on the wet side as it did not perform as hoped.

First impressions the razor was light felt comfortable in the hand and came with 3 different attachments, exfoliating glove, instructions and the power cord. The shaving head had 3 shaving areas. The razor had some charge outside the box when I powered it on. I was quite surprised with how loud it was when I turned it on, I was expecting it to be quieter based on the 3 shaving heads. Instructions - The instructions, the diagrams identifying the name of the parts of the razor and attachment names were clear. When I finally found the section on razor use it was very confusing because it explained the use of the attachments and under what conditions you use them. For example if shaving the private area “use attachment X but be sure to stretch skin to prevent pulling of the hair so the attachment can easily glide as well as lift up the hairs for ease of shaving”. That was a mouthful and if I wanted to shave a different area attach the other tool but make sure to not go against the direction of hair growth or make sure to exfoliate prior to shaving to prevent irritation but do it within a specific time frame. The instructions were too confusing and could have benefited with a video on how to hold the razor and shave. When I finally used it in the shower I used the comb attachment that kept falling off while trimming. Also because the shaving head has three cutting areas you have to remember which one is the ideal cutting area to use for a particular part of the body. I also didn’t shave my legs for a week to see how well it would shave in dry conditions and the instructions say to not go over the same area twice to prevent irritation but in my case i had to go over it more than 4 times just to shave or take one strand of hair off or shave in half. Needless to say I didn’t continue using the shaver to shave my legs because it would have taken a long time. Overall, was not impressed with how it shaved because it would not shave my legs with going over an area multiple times. I also stopped when shaving my private area because the attachment kept falling off. The attachment was to help with gliding over skin however it couldn’t get past a certain area without detaching. I gave it two stars because of the instructions too descriptive and confusing and because the attachments kept falling off while trying to shave.

Much better than my previous shaver. The added extras are not of any use to me but are nice to have. Runs smoothly across my legs without pulling on my skin. The motor is pretty quiet compared to other shavers I have had. Charge lasts a long time. I have used it many times and only charged it once. The only problem I had with it was that it did not come with the charging block. It came with the cord but not the block. The problem was quickly fixed when I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me one. Free of charge. Quality product in my book.
