Purchased this shaver for hubby when he decided he was fed up with disposable shavers. He had a Norelco quite some time ago when they were still corded and thought he would like to give a newer cordless model a try. He is very pleased with how good it shaves and the ease of cleaning. He shaves his head as well as the beard and is very impressed with the results.

I was very pleased when I first used this Shaver. But man, I was really pleased when I used it with Shaving Gel. It gave me a truly smooth shave. I was also well pleased when I used it to shave my head. An older man in my church noticed how well I l looked so I purchased an additional one as a gift for him.

Philips Norelco electric shaver is great, i’ve been using a much cheaper brand for awhile so having to finaly get one of this was a much better experience Pros - the ability to use wet or dry (I usually shave my face dry with my old one and tried shaving while it’s wet and it was fine) - this shave way closer than what I previous use so that’s a plus! -this product also come with a trimmer on the back, works well when shaving part of my side burns another neat feature Cons - I didn’t really feel like it can shave fine lines when it comes to edges - for me this kind of shaver is great if you want to fully have clean shaved face, it gets tough when you have facial hair you want to keep on the front end.maybe i’m not as precise using this kind of shaver yet. overalll i’m very satisfied on this product, the looks could be better but for the price is a great shaving device to have, the battery charge fairly quickly I didn’t experience any problems on time of being in used, satisfied customer here!

Very quiet and the price was great on Black Friday. I have used Norelco shavers for years and when my last one would no longer hold a charge I went looking for a replacement. I had decided to purchase the 3500 model from Amazon which was $49.99 and had a $5.00 rebate included from Norelco but decided to wait a few weeks and see what might come around for Black Friday and Best Buy had the 4100 for only $34.99. I bought it as soon as I could. The shaver is light and much quieter than my previous model even though they look almost identical. This new one also shaves much closer. Although I will not be using this one in the shower it can be used that way if you chose. The down side to this is you can not use the shaver while it is charging like my old one but so far that is not an issue. It has been over a month and I still have not had to charge it. I showed it to a friend who also was looking for a new shaver and he bought one too and is very happy with it. Hopefully this one will last as long as my previous one which was probably 5-6 years. Couldn't recommend more. Thanks Best Buy.

This is the second electric shaver that I have used, well 3rd if you count the OneBlade one I used first. I can say that they keep getting better and better. There are a number of things that I really enjoy about this one, and a couple of neat improvements from the older model I used to use. First, the good stuff. The instructional manual, yes I read them, says that it might take you a couple of weeks for your skin to get acclimated to this type of shaver, the same notice is also included in the first electric shaver I used. I can sincerely say that shaving with this felt comfortable right out of the box. The shave is close and quick. The 3 circular blades move to contour to your face, and it has a little pop-out blade to do a little trimming around sideburns and such. I can see maybe if you are coming from a traditional non electric blade, how this might take a bit to get used to, but you should be good in no time. Next, some upgrades I really enjoy. The first is the long battery life on one charge. My older shaver would get a run time of about 20 minutes on one full charge. This one gets close to an hour on one complete charge. That means I can go about a week without having to charge it up or worry about running out. This also means that when I am able to travel again, I probably won’t have to carry the charger with me when I take it. Another neat little added feature is the notification light on the shaver on when it is time to replace the blades. The manual says you need to replace them about once a year depending on how often you shave, and on the coarseness of your hair. I know I won’t remember when I started using it and when that anniversary period will be, so it is nice that it will notify me when it’s time. Lastly, the wet and dry aspect of this shaver is great. My older one was okay to get wet for clean up, but it really wasn’t rated for use while wet. This one allows you to lather up your skin and shave to get a smoother, closer shave. Now one thing to keep in mind is that you will have to rinse out the shaver a few times while you are using it to keep it shaving optimally. The shaving cream and wet hair can build up inside of the shaving head and make it work a little harder than it needs to. Other than that small caveat, it’s an easy, quick, painless shave. This shaver is an easy recommendation. It gives a close, smooth shave, has a pretty long battery life, and has great versatility in being able to use dry or wet. When you toss in that convenient blade replacement indicator, and pop-out blade, this definitely makes the chore of shaving a little more tolerable.

Just got this shaver today. I had 4 days of stubble and I do shave my head for the little bit of hair that I have left. This is my 4th wet/dry shaver, I'm 67 years old and I have a tough beard and a goatee. I easily get the best shave from this shaver than the others. It comes with an effective pop-up trimmer - some do not. The shaver worked smoothly and comfortably even on my neck. Some shavers do not do well on my neck - most others do not. I used it with shaving cream and I got a close shave with no irritation. As you might be able to tell, due to the COVID-19, the person who trims my beard is swamped and I need a beard trim. If I was brave, I could probably use the shaver to trim my beard. I am not that brave. I think I have an appointment in a few weeks. But, at least I have a close shave. I would rate this shaver as the best I ever used. Highly recommended!

This is my first time using a wet/dry shaver. I know. Crazy right. I never shaved either. Maybe 1 time in my life due to having sensitive skin. I always used a wahl peanut trimmer. It got the job done and got close enough so I thought. I figured I’ve give this fairly priced Philips shaver a shot. And I have to say that I kinda was missing out. I like most people don’t like change. But this time I’m actually glad I did. This little matching works great. Gets about 99% of the facial hair I need it to. I only grow side burns and a top-middle-bottom mustache so not a lot to do. But still I love to be clean shaven. I don’t look good with any facial hair. My wife disagrees but I digress lol. On to the looks. This while simple is very nice and feels more sturdy than you would think. And it has a nice balanced weight to it. Plus the red color is great giving it a little flare. Red is my favorite color. This comes with a standard wire to charge and a nice added cover protector. Holds a very good charge and clean up is easy. I highly recommend this is on a budget but don’t want to skimp on quality. Philips is the leader in this category and it shows with this product.

Easy to hold and shaver does a very good job at removing facial hair with ease. Very close shave in very short amount of time.charges pretty fast and charge lasts for long time approx.90 mins.I've been using norelco shavers for 40 years and this model is as good as all the other ones I had and the price was very fair.

I bought this shaver for my brother. He needed a new one to replace one he forgot, and this one fit the bill. The shaver was easy to use, and being shower-proof allowed for it to be cleaned easily. Its long charge allows for long usage times without having to recharge every night, though I must say that I'm a little worried about opening it up. It flips up with the press of a button, so I'm a little worried that it might snap off and break one day. Nevertheless, I hope that he uses it for a long time.

Easy to use Norelco. The head can be rinsed in water (nice feature). The charge seems to last forever, the longest lasting charge I've ever had in an electric razor. Nice close shaves.

This Norelco razor is excellent! It gives a nice close shave and the battery life is fantastic—After two weeks of daily shaving, it finally indicated it needed to be charged! I have used Norelco razors for years and they are my “go to” for shaving, as they last many, many years before I wear the motor out. I highly recommend this razor as it is also very affordable.

I love my straight-edge razor, and even tho this one will work with shave cream, sometimes I don't want to take the extra time for prep and post-shave cleaning. This razor holds in your hand with a perfect fit, and the head "cage" opens or removes for emptying whiskers. When removed, I wash the head componant with soap and water, let dry then reattach to the razor. Good length cord for charging. And holds a charge for a close shave for about a week. The pop-up trimmer is good for thicker sideburns, but doesn't make a clean line like a straight razor can. Otherwise, this is a great shaver that will last a good a good while and hold up to daily use. No need spending twice or more.

Great razor, had it about 3 years and it still works great. Easy to clean, water resistant. Charges quickly. Charge lasts a while. Make a good clean shave.

I had a similar model that was a few years old and the battery was getting weak. I had replaced the blades in the past but at the sale price on this model it is better to just buy a new one. Has all the features of the old model but everything works better. Longer charge for a shorter charge period, cleaner cut and quieter. Watch for sales at Christmas!

This is excellent shaver. Battery losts for many weeks and its very easy to shave. The trimmer attached to it is good enough to trim the long beard. DEsign is very nice and fits perfectly in the hand. Its non-slippery material gives us a very good hold on it. Very nice product.

I am replacing a very old (10 -12 yrs) Norelco Quadra Action razor that still works. However, its aging nick-cad batteries only gives me about 4 shaves per charge and may not be long for this world. The new razor with its lithium batteries gives me about a month and a half worth of shaves per charge. The new razor is approximately an ounce lighter than the old, and slightly smaller in girth. I would rate the quality of the shaves as equal. Given the price, I am very satisfied with the razor and I suspect its lifespan will be about the same. I should mention that I have a very light beard, though I do shave every day. I never bother to buy new heads because after a few hours I can feel new beard growth anyway, so why bother? Even after all these years, my old razor still cuts close enough with original blades. I prefer electric razors because they keep a lot of steel out of landfills. One tip - if you pop the head off of your razor and put it in your dishwasher, it cleans up very well and saves a lot of time.

I have used Norelco electric shavers for over 5 years. I started with one that only had two cutters rather than three. This is the latest one and it works well as did the others. I have found through the years when I have decided to use a safety razor for shaving (too much work) that a better, closer shave comes from the safety razor, not any electric. That being said... the Norelco 4100 is as good as it gets. Though I will probably seldom use it in the shower, it is possible with this razor and it will likely not be hurt by cleaning under the faucet. I like Norelco and recommend the PowerTouch Cordless Razor.
