So, my previous editing experience is with google's picasa - fun but not very sophisticated. I also have tried to use the more advanced photoshop (several years ago). I watched tutorials and tried to use it for about 2 months and finally gave up. I felt like I didn't use it enough to be able to repeat what I had learned. This version has many more automated features which make it more user friendly. I've been able to learn something and then repeat it. It probably can't do nearly as much as the full version, but it is plenty powerful enough for what I need. I haven't tried the video editing part at this time.

My son needed something like this for doing design work and short videos for college. Great products and easy to install. If you don't have a CD drive, you can download it from the internet and activate your copy with the code supplied in the package.
