About this product

We are going back to the Phuture with this incredible package of exclusive 'Future Sound' mixes which has something for everyone! The very first , before there was Suburban Base, was a Boogie Times which didn't even carry a tag name or logo... BOOGIE 001 under the artist name 'Phuture Assassins' became the record that really did start it all. So what is more appropriate than the next in a continued order of catalogue numbers for the whole new era of Suburban Base than a Phuture Assassins as SUBBASE 77 to continue your collection. Leading with the unreleased Dead Dred '95 Dubplate which was considered a 'lost DAT' until it was recently unearthed amongst the archive of masters in Sub Base storage. You can imagine how excited we were to rediscover this and were able to save and remaster it for . This was intended as part of a remix package that never ended up being released and was only available to a selected few as a Dubplate, that is, until now. Alongside it we have included the 2 Bad Mice remix, which is now considered not only a classic but it is also the definitive mix of 'Future Sound', for those of you that were looking for a reissue. It's been expertly remastered to superb quality. You wanted a brand new remix? Mark XTC & Exile's 'Future Sound' 2021 Remix brings the 1992 future to the 2021 present! They have given the timeless Suburban Base classic 'Future Sound' the remix treatment, producing 'raise your lighter' moments in their inimitable style, drum and bass with deep subs, whilst still keeping to the original vibes of this classic. And completing the package is a version from the legendary Cause4Concern, their remix of Future Sound was only ever promo'd and despite receiving critical acclaim and extensive club play it never saw a full . Now it's being fully unleashed in beautifully re-mastered form. This has it all, unreleased 'lost' mixes, remas

Sofia Pavone - Da. Zwischen - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Sofia Pavone - Da. Zwischen [COMPACT DISCS] date 11/17/2023

Binkbeats - P.M.P.U. Part 2 - 12-INCH SINGLE [12 inch Vinyl Single]

Twelve inch vinyl pressing. Binkbeats, known for his creative and individual interpretations of hip-hop instrumental classics and contempeorary beatart, brings now his first with all original material and sound. Now composing his original material, he began stretching his sonic purview beyond just his vast array of percussion, and completely disregarding any parameters. As a matter of fact, the first creative spark arose by bringing harmonics and voice into the mix.

EPMD - The Big Payback - 7-INCH SINGLE [7 inch Vinyl Disc]

EPMD's initial success in 1987 seemed to take a lot of people by surprise. Without build-up or fanfare, they launched this stunning debut 12Inch and, so ill-prepared were people for it, that the tag was still misspelling their name. Those early 12Inch copies of 'It's My Thing' - and the hard to find UK 7Inch that followed shortly after - have them billed as EPEE MD. Before they were signed, they were going by EEPMD, but they decided to drop an E due to the success of the west coast's Eazy E. The one person not surprised by their success, however, was hip-hop pioneer and producer Kurtis Mantronik, who actually signed them to Fresh Records. It's fitting that he's the man that saw their promise, as he himself was one to go against the grain. His electro-influenced productions for Mantronix and Just Ice were ahead of their time, and perhaps in EPMD he saw kindred spirits. Because, at the time this dropped, hip-hop was going up tempo, taking it's cue from James Brown samples and picking up the pace.On both 'It's My Thing' - underpinned by the languorous 'Seven Minutes of Funk' by The Whole Darn Family - and 'You're a Customer', with it's combination of ZZ Top and Steve Miller Band - Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith slow things right down. It gives their vocals time to breathe and allows us to enjoy the interplay of their metaphor and simile-heavy lyrics. As calling cards go, they don't come any better than this.
