They sound absolutely fantastic in my opinion. I have them in the front doors of a 1996 Toyota Corolla in custom brackets (the front doors originally take 4" speakers), and the tweeters are custom mounted near the mirrors facing me. After fiddling with the settings on my Pioneer DEH-80PRS head unit, they sound amazing! Super clear highs with no distortion, fairly powerful bass that shakes your innards, and a great balance. Music sounds fantastic, with no distortion even at painful volumes and no single part of the music being drowned out. I can't wait to hear how they sound running off of a separate amp, since they're running off of the head unit right now. For rear speakers, I got Pioneer TS-A1675R 3 ways.
