When the great nature photographer was asked to join arguments about whether a UV filter over a lens would degrade the the picture too much he would ask something like "Which takes a better picture - a lens with a UV filter that has been cleaned with a sweaty t-shirt, or a scratched lens?" I give this paraphrase to make a point. If I need the absolute highest detail in my photos I take the filter off, but otherwise it is there to protect the lens and help the photo out just a touch. This one does that for me just fine. It degrades the picture sharpnes a tiny bit, but is a great way to protect the lens.

The filter does what I need and for a fraction of the price of some of the name brands. My only complaint is that the threading on the aluminum ring feels slightly rough, almost to the point where it feels like a step was skipped in the manufacturing process. It does thread on to the lens without much hassle, but not as smoothly as I had hoped. For the price, I will live with that one minor complaint. I can't say enough good about Best-Buy products. I absolutely love every one I've ever purchased. This is no different. It fit great out of the box it was a clean glass that protects my expensive lens. Wouldn't hesitate to buy it several more times, if needed

If you buy a new lens, you MUST get one of these lens filters, it will protect the glass of your lens from smears, scratches, etc. Plus, ig you do like I do, I take off the lens cap when I know I will be using my camera, and with this little gem, I don't have to worry about lens damage. If the filter gets scratched, just remove and replace, it doesn't get much easier than that.

I will never go without a lens filter on my lens to protect it. It's a basic lens filter, keeps dust off the lens and protects it from damage. However, this purchase is a replacement of the one that saved my lens when it was dropped and skidded across the ground. My camera and lens are fine, no need to spend a couple hundred dollars to replace those but this lens did shatter. Definitely worth having especially when they are only $20.

I bought this lens filter to go with my Canon EOS camera I purchased. The sales person told me this would be a good purchase to help protect my camera lens and also could improve picture quality and reduce lens reflections and flare. I will update this post once I have used this lens.

I have plenty to say about my planinum series filters for my Nikon camera. Packaging is non bulky and made very well. Lens filter case is small and compact so there is no reason you shouldn't have your filters with you. The lens themselves, I love the way they screw on and they never cross thread. The fit perfect every time. Love this product.

A good UV filter is a double investment. It can enhance your photos -- and equally important, it can protect your lens from disaster. I had such a disaster and all that saved my lens was the UV filter mounted to the front -- the filter gave its life but the lens was saved. This is a Best Buy house brand -- as far as I can tell -- but represents good value. I recommend it!

I'm using one of these on each of my base kit lenses (-55mm and -200mm). The filter is clear and seems to give decent UV glare adjustment. I mostly have them on as sacrificial lenses in the event I crack or scratch the outer lens of the optics. I'd rather spend another $15.00 for a new filter that a couple hundred for a new lens.

Netgear Router is e very good product. I have chosen equipment from this company because I bought before a router from it. It is very easy to set this router and to connect all my devices. I am using it already a week and I am very happy how it works. The connection is fast and reliable! I have 7 devices connected with it!

The Platinum - 52mm UV Lens Filter - Clear is a very nice filter and works just as well as those that cost 2 or 3 times the price. My main reason for buying the filter was to keep the lens clean and to protect the front element - it does the job great. It's also Multicoated which helps reduce internal lens reflections and flare.

This UV filter comes with a sturdy storage case with thick, foam padding to hold it securely. Fits my Nikon B700 perfectly. My inference is other filter sizes from this company are equally good. The filter cuts down on lens flare when shooting in bright daylight; also offers some protection for the lens.

This is my second lens filter for my camera. The first one was scratched by someone else not being careful with my camera. It protected my lens from being damaged as well. Cleans up images well when installed onto lenses. I use this and a circular polarizer together and it works great!!

Excellent protection for lens from dust. Recently saved lens from cracking/breaking due to photographer falling. Replaced shattered one immediately.

The filter came in impressive package that promised a well-made product. The filter inside lived up to its promise. The mount was high-quality metal and felt solid and durable. The glass and coating were, as expected of a high-quality product, flawless. And the price was very reasonable considering the quality.

Don't expect any optical improvement from this. I use it solely to protect my lens from scratches/dust. I would recommend this because leaving the lens cap off is the way to go if you want to quickly turn on your camera and snap a photo while you're out shooting.

Not only does this lens filter protect the actual lens from getting dirty or scratched, it also helps bring more of a natural feel to your photos by working with the sun rather than against it. It gives your photos the little light rings when you take direct sunlight photos.

I didn’t get the expensive or more fancy lens filter. I just wanted something that protects my lens when I take pictures near the waterfalls or ocean waves. Works great! I bought this brand for my Nikon cameras before. I like it!

This is a decent quality filter for the amateur photographer. Threads on the lens of my Canon DSLR very smoothly without the fear of binding or cross threading. Protects the glass on the front of the expensive lens. Good Value without breaking the bank.

Bought this for my galaxy8 am very pleased. Very easy to install and the tempered glass is good quality. Very cost effective product compared to other screensavers. I am able easily to navigate all my apps, doesn't affect sensitivity with the screen at all.

Uv filter works great, and not to mention if you purchase 3 camera accessories you get 25% off the total, so ended up getting a tripod, UV filter, and CP filter for for $108.XX and i had $100 gift card, so i got the filters for $4 a piece, pretty great deal!
