Fellow PNY XLR8 4080 owner here, and when it comes to 4080s that are at MSRP, so between the founders edition, and gigabyte eagle, and this model, this is definitely the best one of the 3. It looks the coolest, it's the second smallest of the 3, has the best performing fans of the 3, and is the most quiet of the 3. It's still a huge card though, but it does come with an anti-sag bracket if you need it (trust me you will need it, mine sagged if I didn't use it). Performs incredibly well at every game I threw at it, even Cyberpunk 2077. DLSS 3 and Frame Generation are literal game changers and definitely help this card out. If you want to push the card further with overclocking though, you will have to flash the vBIOS, as this model of the card has a max power limit of 100% and cant go higher. It still performs incredibly well despite that however, and raytracing on it is great too. $1,200 is still definitely a lot for a card like this, but it is the best bang for your buck model of the card that is at MSRP. If the RGB isnt really your thing, you can turn it off, which is a good addition as well.

Got this card to replace my 3070 FE, and I am definitely impressed. With the same settings, I'm getting nearly double the performance in all my games. Currently have it paired with a 5800x (going to upgrade to 5800x3d soon) and has not been much of a bottleneck, but in some games it is noticeable. Same price as the 4080 FE, and honestly I think this looks better. Has 3 fans, so it cools amazingly, and haven't seen it go above 55C at all. Love the RGB, fully customizable with the VelocityX software from PNY, and it looks amazing in my HYTE Y60 White case. Couldn't find anywhere online to see if it would be too close to the glass in my Y60, but it has more than enough space (+ I have 2 Noctua fans below it at max speed and still quiet) Overall would definitely recommend if you're looking for 4k / high FPS 1440p gameplay in almost any game. Price is a little to high than it should be, but I pulled the trigger and it was 100% worth it.

I paired this with the LGC2. Highest temp ive seen is 64c after about 5 hours, usually lower. Absolutely silent operation, fan speed hasnt gone over 1100ish rpm. No more worrying about temps or fps. Just max the settings and enjoy (other than a couple of games like CP2077 with RT). Runs perfectly with a 5900x, zero bottlenecks at 4k. Coming from a 6950xt reference card where temps, drivers, and RT were all trouble, this is the perfect card.

Awesome GPU, big bragging rights with my friends and don’t regret it, haven’t played a game I couldn’t max out the graphics and get below 165 fps in. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because I had to completely take apart my pc to install 2 extra VGA power cables since the adapter takes 3 into the 1 cable that powers the gpu.

Very powerful GPU, good for 4k/60fps, 1440p/240Fps or 3440x1440p/144FPS Can do very good ray tracing

Upgraded yesterday 2/10/23. Card came in earlier than was quoted. Been plug and play. Thermals at 55-60 max. Boosting on its own to 2750mhz. Was able to PC to 2900mhz, but wasn't very stable. Way too expensive

It's a great card, especially if you don't want to spend more than MSRP. But it doesn't mean NVIDIA hasn't overpriced these GPUs...

Fans almost never spin up, completely silent. Runs all my games at max settings, 1440p ultrawide, 175 fps easy

Before coming to the pny xlr8 4080 I previously tried the gigabyte gaming oc 4080 and msi suprim 4070 ti and liked this card way better than both combined the value is there along with the fact that it stutters way less than both of those. The gpu usage doesn't randomly drop at max loads like with the other 40 series cards I've tried... and no matter what they didn't want to stay at max usage on Furmark and my demanding games it went away with this PNY xlr8 card. Anyways as the title stated this is a super cool card I did a quick FurMark benchmark test earlier, and wow it wouldn't go above 53c! That is amazing and with a score of 29093 at 1080p it pushed 485 fps easily without any stutters what so ever min fps was 479 for reference. During rocket league I was hitting about 656 avg fps which is just amazing I noticed way less stutters overall vs my 2060 super. MSI afterburner shows 26c idle if you're looking for a 40 series card and have the cpu to power it get this and you wont be disappointed.

While the MSRP is quite high, this is probably the value for the money 4080 card you can get. The RGB is not too overstated and the included sag bracket and 3-to-1 power adapter are nice. Performs amazingly well in all of the games I have tried. MW2019, for example (even if not the best example of a brand new AAA game) I get average 120 FPS at 1440p, maxed out settings and 150% resolution. Would highly recommend.

- PNY Card is SOLID, good manufacturing. - 3 stars, NVIDIA got greedy card is worth $900 at most. - DLSS 3 looks pixelated as soon as you move. - NVIDIA colors and lighting look white washed compared to AMD. - Just trying to figure out what this company has been doing for 20 years. - I've been a NVIDIA fan boy my whole life but not anymore. - Bought this card and a XFX 7900xt MERC, same FPS at 1440p ultrawide. - XFX 7900xt MERC has same frames but better cooling for $300 less. - AMD colors and lightning are just GOLD compared to NVIDIA.

Amazing performance. The card runs surprisingly cool and quiet. Love the RGB on this card as well. A little pricey, but after selling my RTX 3080, using the BB Card coupon + rewards points, it was a no brainer. Very happy with my purchase.

Fantastic card! The price was a little high but overall worth it. It’s a large card but it’s very fast and runs all my games with ease. Definitely recommend!

It is really big but as long as you have a good case to fit it, this thing is a beast. Also the colorchanging on the actusl GpU is a nice little edition

Great Card Easy Software Zero Support. Registered online(or did I?) No confirmation, no email, nobody to contact, nobody replies back. I hope nothing goes wrong because there is no support existing for this product. But the card runs great. Runs cold. And I hope it continues. I took one star off due to no support. I am coming from EVGA to PNY, and EVGA had very active and responsive CS. This company has none that I can find.

Performance, and thermals are top notch, the card it's self looks stunning. I am very happy with my purchase!

Runs well, runs quiet, and the lights can be turned off. Ran some graphically intensive games and temperatures remained fairly cool as well. No complaints about this card other than how humongous it is. Make sure your case has plenty of space and you'll be ok. Overpriced for what it is, but I'm not unhappy with my purchase overall.
