Poison Idea - Record Collectors Are Still Pretentious Assholes - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Another new package as Poison Idea returns with a six song EP with two songs from the rare Rockport Records 12 inch single, the complete three song Filthkick EP and one previously unreleased song. We suspect this CD will be joined by a vinyl version by the end of the year.

The classic Portland punk of Poison Idea still destroys. This sophomore from the band captures a Poison Idea that's matured from the straight beatdown thrash of Pick Your King and is in the process of turning into the polished unit that would produce Kings of Punk, and it rules. This is what you've been waiting for. This band deals out the goods with frenetic, hammering madness and rabid intensity thrash-style compositions. This reissue pairs the original eight tracks from the EP with five more from the InchDrinking is GreatInch and InchCleanse the BacteriaInch compilations, including a cover of the STOOGES InchI Got a Right,Inch and it's humblebrag cover artwork remains intact

Rachmaninoff All-Night Vigil, op. 37 - Gloriae Dei Cantores releases All-Night Vigil, Op. 37 by Sergei Rachmaninoff, conducted by Peter Jermihov (internationally recognized specialist in Russian and Orthodox Liturgical music). Rachmaninoff s All Night Vigil is made up of texts taken from the Russian Orthodox All-night vigil ceremony. Critics praised the work as Rachmaninoff s finest achievement and the greatest musical achievement of the Russian Orthodox Church. It was also one of the composer s favorite compositions, and the fifth movement was sung at his funeral. Gloriae Dei Cantores is joined by members of the St. Romanos Cappella, The Patriarch Tikhon Choir, and The Washington Master Chorale. Protodeacon under the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Vadim Gan, sings the clergy exclamations as well as Dmitry Ivanchenko.
