Welcome to the Sinnoh region! Rich in nature and with mighty Mount Coronet at its heart, Sinnoh is a land of many myths passed down through the ages. Use the Explorer Kit you’ll receive during your adventure to visit the Grand Underground! Here, dig up Pokémon Fossils and valuable treasure, including statues for your very own Secret Base. You can also visit places called Pokémon Hideaways, where you can find Pokémon that live in a variety of different environments—there are some Pokémon that can only be found in these Pokémon Hideaways. Embark on a Grand Underground adventure with other players through the local* or online communication** of your Nintendo Switch system!
Put on a performance with Pokémon in Super Contest Shows
Super Contest Shows are popular events in the Sinnoh region, each put on by four performers and their partner Pokémon, who work together to dance and show off their performance skills. You can prepare your Pokémon for your grand performance by giving them snacks, called Poffins, and teaching them impressive moves. Using Capsule Decoration, you can place Stickers to customize the effects that appear when your Pokémon comes out of its Poké BallTM for battles or Super Contest Shows. Choose a category like coolness, cuteness, or cleverness, and then tap along to the beat and put on a show!
Players can enjoy plenty of fun encounters and surprises that the Sinnoh region has to offer as they adventure together with the Pokémon that appeared in the Pokémon Diamond Version game. The original story and the scale of the Sinnoh region’s towns and routes have been faithfully reproduced. These remakes have also been revitalized with some of the player-friendly features of modern Pokémon games and up-close-and-personal Pokémon battle scenes.
Choose a Pokémon that you’ve befriended during your journey to walk along behind you in the games. In the relaxing Amity Square you can walk with up to 6 Pokémon! Depending on the Pokémon, you’ll see different gestures or ways of walking, and when you talk to your Pokémon, it will respond. You’ll also be able to add your own personal style! Choose a variety of in-game outfits and coordinate tops and bottoms. Some are based around Pokémon motifs and others change your hairstyle.
Unravel the plot of the mysterious Team Galactic as you work towards becoming the next Pokémon League Champion. Their leader is Cyrus, a charismatic figure who always speaks and acts with a calm, logical demeanor. He detests human minds and emotions, finding them defective. Find out what Team Galactic is up to and take down their leader.
Whether you played Pokémon Diamond Version or Pokémon Pearl Version back in the day or you’re encountering these games for the first time, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

A: From my experience pre-ordering at Best Buy, they've added the pre-order bonuses to my existing order without any need for me to pre-order again. So anyone that pre-orders the game now should receive the bonuses too!
Q: Is it digital game or physical game because I am interest for digital game
A: The current listing is for the physical version. The digital version will be available for pre-order closer to release.
Q: Are they going to have a handheld mode as well
A: Yes! Almost every game on the Nintendo Switch supports handheld play, and Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl will as well.
Q: Are their going be any DLCS or a double game pack like they did with the 3ds and regular nds games
A: There is no announced information for DLCs or a double game pack. However, it is very likely that there will be a double game pack since most Pokemon entries in recent years have received one.
A: You will be able to use the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. Joy-Cons will work as well.
A: Yes of course, lets go was designed around one handed play, either with one joycon or the optional pokeball, but it could also be played normally in handheld mode. This did not set a precedent and sword and shield and presumably all future games other than lets go will be the same.
A: I can't say for sure but they did seem to hint at the fact that there will be additional features and, personally, I bet there will be new post-game content as all Pokemon remakes so far have done that.
