In this era—long before the events of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl games—you can find newly discovered Pokémon like Wyrdeer, an evolution of Stantler, and new regional forms like Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Zorua, and Hisuian Zoroark! Along the way, uncover the mystery surrounding the Mythical Pokémon known as Arceus. A free software update brings special mass outbreaks and new challenges. In the free Daybreak update, you will begin investigating mysterious mass outbreaks of Pokémon that are popping up all over the Hisui region. You’ll also have a chance to battle powerful opponents like Legendary Pokémon in Eternal Battle Reverie and wardens at the Jubilife Village training grounds. Keep an eye on your health while out adventuring—take too much damage from wild Pokémon attacks or falling from high places and you’ll be unable to go on! Battles in the Hisui region also have some unique properties. For the first time in the series, your Pokémon unleash moves with the speedy agile style or the powerful strong style. These styles might also affect how many turns Pokémon can take in a row! Encounter noble Pokémon, special Pokémon in the Hisui region that have received a mysterious blessing. These nobles are particularly powerful and are revered by the people of the region. But some strange phenomenon is now causing them to suddenly fly into a frenzy. To quell them, you will have to hit them with balms made from these noble Pokémon’s favorite foods. Jubilife Village is the main base of your adventures in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, this village has grown to be the bustling Jubilife City. Play as a Ditto that has transformed to look like a human! Find and befriend your fellow Pokémon, carve out a life for yourself, and work together with Professor Tangrowth to build a town for everyone to live in. Learn the moves of your fellow Pokémon to change the land, such as Bulbasaur’s Leafage to make the wild grass grow. You can also use abilities to transform and navigate the world around you, such as crossing water with Lapras’s Surf. As you work to help nature flourish, more Pokémon will appear for you to meet and learn from! Create habitats, cultivate crops, and more in a world with varied weather and real-time day and nights. Gather materials to create items and furniture, till the fields to grow delicious crops, create habitats for the Pokémon you meet, take photos of fun moments, customize your hairstyle and clothing…there’s so much to do here! No need to rush, though—go at your own pace and enjoy the journey. With a real-time day and night cycle, varying weather, and other surprises, just taking a nap in your bed and letting time pass can be pretty relaxing. As your town develops, your fellow Pokémon may also come to you with requests you can fulfill to solve their problems or make the town a more comfortable place to live in. Eventually, you’ll be able to build a nice big home of your own—and then invite Pokémon, and even other players via local wireless or online, to visit and hang out together.
