The First stage is a large vertically launched twin rocket engine with wings, and has a pilot and co-pilot. This stage carries the 2nd and 3rd stages 'piggy-back'. After burn-out, the 1st stage is landed, fitted with jet-engine pods and flown back to the launching point. The 2nd stage is an expendable rocket for boosting the 3rd stage into orbit. The 3rd stage is also fitted with wings and rocket power for re-entry and landing, and has a pilot in the transparent cabin.
