I really call this Poseidon 2. It is just a remake of the classic one from the 70s with a fresh look and new faces. I enjoyed this movie when it came out. This one made me buy the classic one. Added to the collection in blu-ray.

I thought this movie was better than the original. Great action and the last shot was amazing.

This remake of The Poseidon Adventure was more up to date and well made. You can tell this movie had a big budget. The special effects were excellent! It was worth watching, but unfortunately, it wasn't as good as the original.

Great Action Adventure Drama Film! Trapped beneath the waterline and implored by the captain to remain in place until a rescue team arrives, the panicked survivors struggle to keep their cool as the water begins to rush in, and infernos blaze all around.

Adventure movie keeps you watching excellent exciting

Fantastic popcorn movie with plenty of non-stop action Poseidon has a powerful audio sound stage and at the 17th minute, when the rogue wave topples the ship over, an incredible sound field hammers the room with massive LFE making this scene amongst my highest rated impact scenes I have ever seen. The video is good too but not to the highest blu-ray standards. Nonetheless this is a fun movie to watch and to appreciate your home theater.

Its a great spectacle movie with lots of action but you have all these top name actors like Richard Dreyfuss, Andre Braugher, Emmy Rossum, Freddy Rodriquez, Kurt Russell and Josh Lucas that aren't given the chance to strut their stuff because the script is not written for character performance. However, this is a fantastic special effects film and if you've never been on a cruise then maybe you'll want to watch this after you get back from vacation.

I think that "Poseidon" was one of the greatest action/disaster films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite action/disaster films of all-time and it was also an original and amazing remake of "The Poseidon Adventure". I have seen and enjoyed both "The Poseidon Adventure" and "Poseidon" several times and I also think that "Poseidon" had a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including an exciting and suspenseful storyline.

I was not thrilled with the results. But my husband loved it.

As much as I love the original, watching it when it came out on the big screen, this is a great remake. Differences? Yes. Some I liked, some I didn't. But the story is still good and the struggle which reveals the true person within each character is revealing.

I cant remember watching this before but Ive heard of it. I watched it at netflix and my kids loved it. Its a suspense thriller. So I bought it at best buy when it went on sale. Simple movie with lots of suspense. Worth your money.

if you like the film/tv show/game buy it. I just want my points and think it's stupid you have to review the thing to get them. you should get them because you buy the item

I HAD TO BUY THIS MOVIE FOR MY COLLECTION BECAUSE IT WAS A MOVIE I ALREADY WATCHED MORE THAN ONCE BEFORE SO THAT MEANS IT WAS GOOD,NOT A WASTE OF TIME.

I was shocked to find this at 5.99 such a low price and a good remake with fantastic graphics. It’s a lot different from the original film, but overall a great film. With an all star cast from a not so all stars sadly.

A remake that probably shouldn't have been done. No character development here as we get to the sinking almost immediately. The Special effects are well done.

This movie gets going from the beginning and hardly slows down. Great FX and good cast. If you love disaster movies, this is a great price for an awesome movie night.

Remake of the Poseidon Adventure, a group of passengers fight to survive and escape a sinking cruise liner after an accident. I enjoyed it.

I thought some of the dialogue in the beginning of this movie was really bad. It made me question why I bought this Blu Ray DVD in the first place. Lots of money was spent, but, to me, it just doesn't work. I don't think it did very well at the box office when it came out. And that should have told me everything I needed to know. On the plus side, the bonus videos on the making of this movie were very well done and quite informative.
