A: No it will not. I bought it for the switch as it labeled for, but it even says on the box that it isn't made for the switch. I even attempted it and it did not work for the dock.

Q: I have the DMG- 04 cord will this work with that?
A: The DMG-04 cable is a Game Link Cable for the original Game Boy. This adapter is a USB wall adapter created for charging Nintendo Switch accessories. As such, this adapter in no way, shape, or form can interact with the DMG-04, nor would you want it to.
A: It's not meant to be used to charge the Switch. If you tried, it would probably charge really slowly.
Q: Can you use this to connect the remote control to play on the dock station
A: I'm assuming you're asking if this will charge any controllers such as the Pro Controller or Joy-cons. It can charge them, but keep in mind that you'll require some kind of charging stand or dock for Joy-Cons if you're not charging them with the Switch itself. It should charge other USB enabled controller as well, such as PS4 or Wii U Pro controllers as long as you have the correct cable for them.
