About this product
Lovesexy was not the album that the music industry was expecting Prince to in 1988. In what Jon Pareles of The New York Times described as Inchone of the most enjoyable and peculiar moves of the 1980s,Inch Prince announced that he would follow up the critically revered Sign o' the Times with The Black Album, a raw collection of hard-rocking, funky dance music. But then, a mere week before it's scheduled , he scrapped his plans and demanded that Warner Bros. Destroy all copies of the album. Only one of the songs from that album, InchWhen 2 R in Love,Inch would be saved from the cutting room floor, and within seven weeks Prince had recorded an all-new collection of songs to join it on the album Lovesexy. Lovesexy was a brighter, lighter, and more melodic , inspired by the more spiritual direction that Prince's music had started to take in the second half of the decade. InchWe need love and honesty, peace and harmony, positivity,Inch he sings in the album's closing track, echoing the sentiment that courses throughout the album after confronting society's deepest troubles in his earlier political work, Lovesexy sought to unite and uplift. In Prince's words, Lovesexy was his gospel album. Single LP on black vinyl.

Limited vinyl LP pressing. Parade is the eighth studio album by Prince, the third (and final) to feature his backing band The Revolution, and is the soundtrack album to the 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon. It was originally released on March 31, 1986 by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. Records. After the critical disappointment of his 1985 album Around the World in a Day, Parade was released to acclaim from music critics and was named one of the best albums of 1986 by The Village Voice and NME magazine, who named it their album of the year. It also sold two million copies both in the United States and abroad.
Limited 180 gram vinyl LP pressing. Purple Rain is the sixth studio album by Prince, the first to feature his backing band The Revolution, and is the soundtrack album to the 1984 film of the same name. Purple Rain is regularly ranked among the best albums in music history, and is widely regarded as Prince's magnum opus. Time magazine ranked it the 15th greatest album of all time in 1993, and it placed 18th on VH1's Greatest Rock and Roll Albums of All Time countdown. Rolling Stone ranked it the second-best album of the 1980s and 76th on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The first two singles from Purple Rain, InchWhen Doves CryInch and InchLet's Go CrazyInch, topped the US singles charts, and were hits around the world, while the title track went to number two on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was certified thirteen-times platinum (diamond) by the RIAA.
With the album cover art depicting Prince in front of a cemetery gate, and the years 1958-1993 scrawled under his birth name, it was clear that 1994 would mean the beginning of a new era for a newly reborn artist. Come would be the final album to be released under the name InchPrinceInch until 2001's The Rainbow Children, and it serves as the first chapter in a new era of his artistry-an era when he would simply be known by his unpronounceable symbol, and would establish himself as a commercially independent, revolutionary force in the music industry. Single LP on black vinyl.
