A favorite but Blu release still needs improvement
Pros:
A favorite that I watched at the drive in theater when it came out.
Finally gets release in Blu.
Cons:
Picture still needs more cleanup & that’s watching it on a calibrated OLED. It’s washed down & too dark. Better than the dvd that was worst.
Still with a 2.0 No new 5.1 surround
A classic! Next to Ron Howard, the best acting by a kid with red hair in years. Kramer was remarkable as well, and the fact Gilbert wasn't nominated for an Oscar is heartbreaking. I've never wept so much while watching a film as when those pig clackers were on screen. BRAVO!!
