School of Language is David Brewis, who also makes music with his brother Peter as Field Music. This is the third School of Language album, following on from Sea From Shore in 2008 and Old Fears in 2014.This is an album about Donald Trump - his dubious rise in politics, his capricious behaviour while in office and the motley cast of characters he has surrounded himself with. It's not exactly a protest record, though it is shot through with anger. It's definitely not a joke, though some of it is darkly funny. It is a tragedy and it is a farce. The songs are sung from different points of view, almost as if it's a Donald Trump funk musical. One advisor sells Trump on the idea of a border wall. Another one feels he can't quit because of the chaos that might follow. Rex Tillerson fumes at his plummeting status. Psychiatrists fret about the President's mental stability. Hillary Clinton laments her loss. Trump himself brags and equivocates in his own unique, blustering style.45 was written and recorded in a little less than two months during gaps in the schedule at Field Music's studio in Sunderland. It was inspired by Bob Woodward's book Fear, articles in the Washington Post, The New Yorker and The New York Times and by Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight. It was also inspired by James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, The Meters, Otis Redding and Free.1. I've Got The Numbers2. Nobody Knows3. A Beautiful Wall4. Rocket Man5. Rex6. The Goldwater Rule7. New Orleans blues singer and pianist Professor Longhair is noteworthy for having been active in two distinct periods, both in the heyday of early rhythm and blues, and in the resurgence of interest in traditional jazz after the founding of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Vicious and vitriolic, full of raw anger and burning hatred, yet at the same time bursting with live and lingering on moments of astonishing beauty - IMHA TARIKAT's third album InchHearts Unchained - At War with a Passionless WorldInch announces it's inherent contradictions and struggles already in the title. Essentially a black metal album in the crackling dry and humourless German style that renounces all bombast and often folk-ish undertones of it's Nordic counterparts, IMHA TARIKAT's lyrical and musical mastermind Kerem Yilmaz aka Ruhsuz Cellat has once again created new layers and expanded the dimensions of his unique compositions. While adding even more throat-torturing approaches to his physically violent singing style, the ferocious drumming and relentless churning of frost-covered guitar strings remain as the either ice cold or glowing hot foundations of IMHA TARIKAT. Then again, while his songs twist and turn through the black void, they sometimes take surprising detours into passionate moments and solos rather derived from heavy metal, hard and occult rock, and even a knife-tip of punk. Lyrically, IMHA TARIKAT continue to function as some kind of an encrypted diary recording Kerem Yilmaz' personal experiences, growth, and fascinations InchI literally let myself go insane to create an absolutely authentic experienceInch, the singer and guitarist reveals about the recording process of InchHearts UnchainedInch, which not surprisingly revolves around inner conflicts, suffering, escalating emotions, but also catharsis and redemption. IMHA TARIKAT and it's brutal black sound were created as an emotional pressure valve for it's founder, Kerem Yilmaz. His burning musical passion reveals itself in the fast progression, which with his songwriting grows remarkably into all directions with every new . While even the first EP InchKenoborosInch left an excellent impres
