We bought this elliptical to replace our old, broken one. There are some very good things about this elliptical and some things that could be improved upon. The levels of incline and resistance are a bit too difficult — there needs to be more variation from the lowest to the highest in terms of needed effort. The Ipad holder is perfect, but I’d rather have a much larger screen included with the bike instead of using an iPad. Also, there’s no USB connection to power the iPad. There’s a place to plug in audio from phone, but it’s better to use your wireless earbuds. The fan is wonderful and I’m enjoying the iFit series although after 6 months that will be up and I’ll need to decide if I want to pay about $40 to continue - it’ll depend on if after 6 months I’ve used it a lot and gotten results from the classes. So far I like the series. This is a very heavy machine so if you need it upstairs, pay for the installation (putting it together wasn’t bad as far as I could tell because it took the guys a matter of minutes, but carrying up the stairs to our second story was tough for 2 guys).

Good price ($999), immediate availability and easily scheduled and completed installation by Best Buy was a good start. The elliptical feels really solid when you are using it and the initial resistance as others have noted is more like medium as opposed to easy but gives a good workout. I activated the iFit which must be done at the iFit website and not with the app initially. It's free for 6 months with this product but if you hold down the iFit button on the unit for 30 seconds it will go directly to the manual mode and you don't have to use iFit. Have been using it daily with no issues.

This elliptical is not the best piece of machine but it gets the job done on a great work out. Yes as others have mention the resistance level is a bit tough but in a matter of time you will get used to it. I have used it everyday for 20 minutes since i put it together by myself which took me an hour and a half. My wife uses it every once in awhile since this elliptical was mainly for her. She loves it and has no complaints about it. Overall its not your gym elliptical but it does get the job done.

didn't like that machine was locked and had to call customer svc just to unlock machine before it could be used. simple to use.

So, the machine I received did not track steps. Through a couple weeks trying to solve the issue with ProForm’s Costumer Service we found the fly wheel was assembled backwards. While the machine I ordered does not work as intended, I would still recommend a ProForm Machine. ProForm is picking up the machine I purchased and exchanging it for a new machine. The machine itself is high quality and if it didn’t have the wheel on backwards would have worked great.

Excellent buy! Very sturdy. Very quiet, no one knows I am working out. Love having 32 Preprogrammed workouts so I don't have to have an internet connection and I don't have to subscribe to iFit if I don't want to. Went together without any problem, but required two people for a couple of steps.

A massive elliptical that arrives with virtually all of the small parts already assembled, a big reason for my purchase. However finishing the assembly is still a 2 person, 1 hr job. The machine is very sturdy and well made, but the resistance even when set at zero would easily be a 7 on a commercial gym elliptical and is too much for the average 130lb bad knees user, which describes me. Having assembled it on the 2nd floor and having gouged the staircase wall getting the * 200lb box on a wooden pallet* up the, thankfully, straight staircase, I am at a loss as to how to proceed, as I am not a mechanic or engineer. At this point I could only recommend this machine to a 200lb serious athlete. For a comparison I tried the ProForm Carbon EL at Academy and the 0 level resistance on that machine was exactly what it should be: smooth and effortless.

I like the elliptical. The resistance, even at the lowest level, is more than I would expect. Feels like level four at the gym. Machine squeaks more than I would expect. Maybe both issues will get better with more use.

Works as expected. Ifit program is a bit over hyped. Would not use if it wasn't a free trial. Elliptical is very solid and well built. Assembly was a breeze. Recommend buying when on sale.

After several weeks of ownership so far so good. Very sturdy. This thing is heavy. Minimum two people to even wheel it around.

I love this! Great price. Great service to get it in my home. Great to use. At 79 years of age I can tell you it is awesome for maintaining health and vitality!

I love this electrical, it gives you a workout. As soon as you start paddling, the resistance is strong right off the bat.

This is a smooth and excellent machine of torture. Sturdy commercial grade steel and a 28lb flywheel. Excepting the terrible iFit program and it’s requirement for setup and for a subscription: which can be bypassed by holding down the iFit button for 60 seconds, I would highly recommend it.

Really Really disappointed in this. While the machine is smooth and seems well built the base resistance is just WAYYYY too high. At a level 1 intensity is the equivalent of a 7 or 8 on any other elliptical. I can barely use the thing, and my girlfriend who is smaller can't even move it for more than 30 seconds. Of course it's out of the return period now, so it seems i spent $1,100 dollars on an elliptical we can barely even use.

I like this machine a lot. It is easy to use, once I figured out how to start it.
