About this product

Protector are widely regarded as one of the most underrated outfits from the prolific German thrash/death scene of the Eighties. Their debut-EP InchMisanthropyInch from 1987 is a thorny gem of uncompromising thrash metal, raw and fast, and with a strong feel of evil blackness. This first official laid the base for Protector's reputation as InchGermany's most brutal bandInch, as some people called them. Protector Really Some band from some far out place in Lower Saxony It's true, Protector never rose to the same heights of fame as Kreator, Sodom and the likes, but back in the days, they made a name for themselves by playing not only fierce and sharp thrash metal, but always being extremely harsh, brutal and very very evil. InchMisanthropyInch is a perfect testimony for this In it's six-tracks-brevity, Protector's debut-EP is a violent attack on the listener, giving you six razor sharp cuts and leaving you behind, crushed and bleeding. InchMisanthropyInch was recorded in the summer of 1987 at the White Lines Studio in Braunschweig. While the band's main influences at that time were Slayer's InchReign in BloodInch, Possessed's InchSeven ChurchesInch and Exodus' InchBonded by BloodInch, InchMisanthropyInch actually sounds like none of these albums - but very unique; In part this is due to Martin Missy's extraordinary extreme vocal performance, which always bordered on the verge of death metal growls and thus added a lot to Protector's very own way of evil.

Protector - Reanimated Homunculus - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

With a sound uncompromising and aggressive like burning sulphur, Protector should have been ranked among the bigger names in German thrash. Any thrasher worth their salt has heard of InchProtector of DeathInch, InchMisanthropyInch, InchGolem,Inch and InchUrm the MadInch; but suprisingly, Protector never really grew beyond their underground status before they disbanded in 2003. The resurrection of Protector began in 2011 with original singer Martin Missy along side a new line-up that consist of Mathias Johansson (bass), Carl-Gustav Karlsson (drums), and Michael Carlsson (guitar). After a demo and a split single, their 2013 full-length album, Reanimated Homunculus was a return to their roots.

Protector - Cursed and Coronated - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

After a glorious return to original form on Reanimated Homunculus (2013) Protector delivered their second full-length album Cursed and Coronated (2016). The album was recorded at the Sunlight Studio in Norrtälje, Sweden with producer Tomas Skogsberg. The band stayed true to themselves with evil, fast, cutting and slicing old school Thrash in the true Protector vein.

Protector - Summon The Hordes - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2019 from the German thrash metal band. Summon The Hordes was recorded, mixed and mastered by Harris Johns at Phonostudio in Berlin and Wolfden Studio in Stockholm.
